Summary
Money is something that every trainer will want to have inPokemon Scarlet & Violet. Trainers can earn prize money from battling other trainers, or they can sell their items and treasures. Before selling the most expensive item in the inventory, there are several things that players will want to sell as soon as possible.
In the Bag, various pouches can hold medicine, Poke Balls, Key Items, and treasures. Basically, anything that’s in the Treasures pouch should be sold as they don’t serve any battle or out-of-battle purposes. Some treasures sell for high prices, so it’s best to sell those ifScarlet/Violetplayers find themselves running low on money.

8Pretty Feather
Sale Price: 500
Pretty Feathers will appear as gold sparkles near or on lakes. Unlike other Feathers, such as Genius and Clever Feathers, Pretty Feathers cannot increase stats, making them useless. They’re the most common type of Feathers and sell for 500 poke dollars at any store.
One Pretty Feather doesn’t sound like much, but due to how common, they can often be sold in bulk. Therefore, a stack of Pretty Feathers can potentially sell more than a single Nugget.Players who bought the Expansion Passcan even getx10 Pretty Feathers each time they reach a milestoneinTeal Mask’sLoyalty Plaza Restorationprogram.

7Stardust
Sale Price: 1500
Stardust is another common treasure that can be found inScarlet/Violet’s overworld. Players will also receive some Stardust from Arven before starting the Treasure Hunt, which can give rookie trainers some pocket change before setting out on their adventure. Stardust are rewards for the following Tera Raids:
Stardust only sells for 1500, but they’re one of the easier treasures to get, meaning if players save their Stardust, they can sell them in bulk for a hefty price. While not as common as Pretty Feathers, it shouldn’t take long for trainers to have 10+ Stardust in their inventory, especially if they’repicking up every “gold sparkle” they see. UnlikeLegends: Arceus, Stardust cannot be used to craft Star Pieces, so it’s best to sell instead of holding onto them for later.

6Rare Bone
Sale Price: 2500
Rare Bones are treasures that players are more likely to find in arid regions or inside caves. They’ll appear as golden sparkles in the overworld. Areas that trainers should look at are:
The Rare Bones only sell for 2500 a piece. However, if players intend to stick around places such as East Province and Paradise Barrens, they should be on the lookout for this treasure.

5Star Piece
Sale Price: 6000
Star Pieces can also be plucked off the ground in the overworld, and are given as aPaldeaandKitakami Pokedex Completion Reward. Once players have started collecting Gym Badges, more challenging Tera Raids with better rewards will start spawning in both Paldea and Kitakami. Star Pieces are common rewards for the following Tera Raids:
A single Star Piece will sell for 6000. While not as common as Stardust, Star Pieces are easy to grind if trainers partake in 3-star and higher Tera Raids.

4Balm Mushroom
Sale Price: 7500
There are three types of Mushrooms inScarlet/Violet: Tiny, Big, and Balm. As most have already figured out, the Tiny Mushrooms sell for the least while the Balm Mushrooms sell for the most. They are a rare treasure, appearing as a golden sparkle inTagtree Thicket, which arguably isn’t a reliable way to farm them, as their spawn rate is affected by RNG. A more reliable albeit more challenging way of farming them is by clearing5/6-star Tera Raids. Because they’re locked to the higher Tera Raids, players won’t be able to get them from Raids until after they’ve completed “The Way Home” main quest.
One Balm Mushroom will sell for 7500, which makes it one of the best items to sell ASAP. Unfortunately, because they’re locked to 5/6-star Tera Raids, theycan be a lot harder to farmwhen compared to Star Pieces and Stardust. It may be better to farm the more common treasures instead of Balm Mushrooms if trainers are looking to make money.

3Nuggets & Big Nuggets
Sale Price: 5000 & 20000
Like in previousPokemontitles, there are two types of Nuggets inScarlet/Violet: Regular and Big. The regular Nuggets can be found in every Province of Paldea as an overworld treasure, while Big Nuggets spawn in more selective areas. Trainers may also receive Big Nuggets as a possible reward for completing the Academy Ace Tournament in the postgame. Both types of Nuggets are also given during theBilly and O’Nare side questin Kitakami.
Regular Nuggets spawn in these areas, and are also rewards for the following Tera Raids:

Nuggets sell for 5000; Big Nuggets sell for 20000. It’s obvious which one sells better, but given the rarity of Big Nuggets, trainers are likely to end up with twice as many regular Nuggets, thus making a stack of regular Nuggets worth more than a single Big Nugget.
2Pearls, Big Pearls, & Pearl Strings
Sale Price: 1000, 4000, & 10000
Like with Nuggets, there are different types of Pearls, too. The regular Pearl, Big Pearl, and Pearl String will appear as sparkling overworld treasures onthe shores of East Province. Much like the Nuggets/Big Nuggets, trainers can get x15 Big Pearls and x10 Pearl Strings from the Billy and O’Nare sidequest in Kitakami.
Each type of Pearl can appear at:
A regular Pearl willsell less than a Nugget and Star Piece. Fortunately, Big Pearls and Pearl Strings sell more, and Big Pearls aren’t nearly as difficult to farm as Big Nuggets. If trainers intend on making money off of selling treasures, then Big Pearls can be worth the trouble.
1Comet Shard
Sale Price: 12500
BeforeSword/Shield, Comet Shards were the best treasures that trainers could find thanks to their high sales price. Unfortunately, this number was dropped by the time of Gen 8 and Gen 9. Comet Shards have the same appearance as Star Pieces, but are blue instead of red. Given their rarity, they spawn inhigher-level areasand Raids such as:
At 12500 a piece, Comet Shards are the second-highest-selling treasure inScarlet/Violet. Like Balm Mushrooms, it might be easier for trainers to try their luck with RNG in Paldea/Kitakami. Struggling to beat5 and 6-star Tera Raidsjust for one Comet Shard may not be worth the effort for some trainers.
