Theseexclusive Xbox titlesalso feature some iconic protagonists who have caused untold destruction and mayhem across the board in a bid to achieve their goals. While these acts are generally overlooked in favor of their overall persona, there’s no denying that the following protagonists across the Xbox franchise have proven to be quite destructive in many ways.
8Master Chief (Halo)
Master Chief is one of the most iconic video game protagonists of all time, but he’s also at the head of one of the biggest first-person shooter franchises around. So, it’s easy to see why he is a prime candidate for being a mayhem-inducing protagonist.
The sheer number of destructive actions that Master Chief has carried outover the course of theHaloseriesmakes this selection pretty easy to understand. While the majority of these acts were for the greater good, the collateral damage that ensued should still be addressed regardless.

7Player (Sunset Overdrive)
Sunset Overdriveisone of the most underrated open-world action games ever made. The fact that Insomniac Games is behind this amazing title means that they did something right in terms of free-flowing combat, otherwise they wouldn’t have been given the reins for making the next generation ofSpider-Mangames.
The main protagonist of the series is nothing more than a character for the player to project themselves on. Given the chaotic nature of this game, it’s easy to see why a player who has the freedom to do whatever they want in this fun sandbox title can go a little off the rails at times.

6Marcus Fenix (Gears Of War)
The Locust Horde is one of the most horrifying alien races to invade Earth, so it’s only a given that a monster needs to be unleashed to take care of this imposing threat. This is where Marcus Fenix comes into the picture.

The brawny soldier has led a pack of powerful troopers time and time again, with mostly positive results. His own brutality in combat is what makes him so effective against the Locust Horde, although some people do question the bloody and vicious nature of his acts at times.
5Agent (Crackdown)
TheCrackdownseries has seen its fair share of ups and downs, with the release of the latest game being rather underwhelming for many fans. That being said, there’s no denying thatCrackdownhas its moments, and controlling the litany of agents present in this game is actually pretty exciting in its own way.
Crackdowndoesn’t shy away from ostentatious acts of justice, to the point where they almost seem too damaging for their own good. That being said, the gameplay is all the more exciting due to the sheer chaos enabled by these Agents, so perhaps this isn’t the worst thing in the world.

Dead Risingis another iconic Xbox franchise that has definitely seen better days. However, the lukewarm receptiontoDead Rising 4doesn’t take away from its immense quality, making it a highly engaging series that any fan of action-heavy titles should check out.
The bizarre yet fun nature of the combat is what makesDead Risingso much fun, with Frank West being able to mow down zombies and other enemies with the oddest weapons around. The combat is so much fun that most people don’t even bother to keep Frank’s homicidal tendencies in check as they run over zombies in a lawnmower for what feels like the umpteenth time.

3Player (Forza Horizon)
TheForza Horizonseriesis the last place that people would look at when it comes to picking out protagonists that cause a ton of mayhem. However, in an open world where players have all the freedom to drive a car at full speed, chaos is bound to ensue.

While theForza Horizonseries prioritizes racing over everything else, the player can still destroy a chunk of property and wreck their car by crashing into things at high speeds over and over again. This makes them a perfect candidate for this list, albeit a surprising one.
2Darth Revan (Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic)
Spoiler alert for a game that’s almost two decades old — after going through the majority ofStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republicas an amnesiac Jedi, it’s revealed that the player was actually a mind-wiped Darth Revan who was trying to be converted to see the light by Bastille and the rest of his allies.
It’s a mind-blowing twist that makes even more sense if players were exploring the Dark Side from the get-go anyway. It makes the transition into a Sith Lord more engaging, with the natural trail of chaos that players left in their wake making them more intimidating.

1The Hero Of Oakvale (Fable)
Fableis a brilliant fantasy game thatany fan of action-adventure titlesshould definitely check out. The game does a brilliant job of letting players roleplay as a hero who has to travel all over the world of Albion to eliminate a threat that could destroy the entire world if not kept in check.
Of course, players don’t necessarily need to be a hero. Instead, they can carry out the most villainous acts around and become a truly despicable individual who is feared by the world… even though they can still save the world from potential ruin.
