Summary
TheBatman: Arkham Trilogy’s Switch ports released at the beginning of the month and withArkham Knight’s port came packaged a suit inspired byThe Batman. This was a fantastic incentive for a port that would go on to run horribly, and it wasn’t long before the suit Robert Pattinson wore was soon brought to every other platform version ofBatman: Arkham Knight. It is odd that the cosmetic has already leaped to other platforms since it seemed to be one of the few reasons to fork money over for an inferior port, but it unfortunately doesn’t appear to be that much more rewarding elsewhere.
Regardless, it’s wonderful to have the so-calledBattinson suit from Matt Reeves’The BatmaninArkham Knightsince it helps contribute to a comprehensive catalog of beloved suits inspired by live-action adaptations. Having Christian Bale’sThe Dark Knightsuit as well as Ben Affleck’sBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicesuit was terrific beforehand, but what continues to distinguish them inKnightas complete additions to the game is something Battinson’s lone suit inclusion currently lacks: a Batmobile skin inspired by the movie the suit came from.

Arkham Knight’s Lack of a Batmobile from The Batman is an Oversight
Arkham Knight’s Battinson Suit is Underwhelming Even Apart from the Switch Port
Unfortunately, the Battinson suititself has been lackluster according to those who’ve already found opportunities to check it out on their preferred platforms. It apparently lacks the same texture quality that otherKnightsuits have, including the other movie-inspired suits, which has quickly put it at a disadvantage.
The situation is decidedly bad now that players still prefer mods to the official suit, showcasing how disappointing the suit is at the moment. Of course, since the suit was added toKnightat all it’s not out of the realm of possibility for it to be reworked in a subsequent update. In fact,Marvel’s Spider-Man 2had subtly done the same with itsAmazing Spider-Man 2suit. But even ifThe Batman’s suit looked perfect inKnightthere would still be no way of maintaining immersion within that role-play when seeing Batman hop intoa Batmobile that isn’tThe Batman’s muscle car.

Arkham Knight Not Including a Battinson Batmobile is a Glaring Omission
BecauseThe Batman’s suit arrived on its own, it’s now highly unlikely thatKnight will ever bother addingThe Batman’s Batmobile later on. Of course, seeing this particular Batman doing half of whattheArkhamseries’ Caped Crusaderis capable of could be immersion-breaking on its own.
Likewise, almost every other suit cosmetic has a cowl that won’t come apart like the V8.03 Batsuit’s cowl and looks awkward in cutscenes where Bruce unmasks. But while otherKnightsuits have associable Batmobile skins, it’s hard to deny that it’s missing a fun component of that role-play, particularly whenThe Batman’s Batmobile was in service of an exhilarating car chase in Gotham City that players would actually be able to recreate inKnight’s open world.

Even so, it’s spectacular that the suit ever made it toKnightand that Rocksteady hasn’t abandoned the game all the way up to now withSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguelaunching in a little under a month. It’ll be interesting to see what plethora of skins is added to that game with each post-launch season of battle pass content.
