This long-rumoredAssassin’s Creed VRtitle would finally be shown off with a brief teaser during the VR Meta Showcase on June 1. While not much was revealed in this teaser, eagle-eyed fans quickly noticedclues about pastAssassin’s Creedheroesthat could be playable inNexus. This seems to line up with previous reports thatAssassin’s Creed Nexuswould be an anthology of sorts featuring past assassins, and now players have concrete confirmation that the game will let players see through the eyes of some of the series’ most noteworthy protagonists.

A new trailer forAssassin’s Creed Nexuswas shown during today’s Ubisoft Forward 2023, which confirmed that the game would take place from a first-person perspective and allow players to jump, sneak, and kill their way across several historical landscapes as three fan-favorite assassins. Included in this trinity isEzio Auditore da Firenze, the Italian Renaissance-era hero ofAssassin’s Creed 2and its spin-offs; Connor Kenway/Ratonhnhaké:ton, the cunning assassin who fought in the American Revolution duringAssassin’s Creed 3, and Kassandra, who was one of two playable characters in the ancient Greece-setAssassin’s Creed Odyssey.
After the trailer, Ubisoft Montreal Community Developer Clement Dagonneau took to the Ubisoft Forward 2023 stage to describe howAssassin’s Creed Nexuswill take virtual reality to new levels and allow players to feel the rush ofAssassin’s Creed’s classic stealth and parkourfrom the perspective of these legendary warriors. He also revealed thatNexuswill be available on Meta Quest VR headsets this holiday season.
Nexuswasn’t the onlyAssassin’s Creedtitle shown off during today’s Ubisoft Forward livestream.Assassin’s Creed: Codename Jadeis a free-to-play, open-world RPG that will take players to ancient China on mobile devices, whileAssassin’s Creed Miragewill reunite players withValhalla’s Basim this October.
