It has shown that there is no guarantee of survival as death can be just around the corner. With so many deaths, it is unsurprising that not every single one of them was fitting. There are a few instances where anAttack on Titancharacterwas killed off undeservedly when they should have continued to live.

8Erwin Smith
Erwin Smith was the commander of the Survey Corps. He was responsible for leading the group to numerous successes. Erwin was a talented leader, who was able to come up with outstanding strategies in a very short time. His leadership qualities were proven when he managed to rally his troops to attackthe Beast Titan.
Erwin’s life came to a close during the Shiganshina arc. He died without knowing the secrets behind the walls and the Titans. For his successful endeavors, he should have stayed alive for longer.
7Carla Yeager
Carla is the mother of Eren Yeager and the second wife of Grisha Yeager. She was a kind and caring person who always tried to help other people. She put in a great deal of effort to raise Eren properly.

Carla’s personality endeared her to friends and family. She was eaten by a Titan when the wall was breached, which brought an end to her life. A kind person like her definitely deserved to live longer.
6Ymir
Ymir’s entire life was filled with tragedies. As a young girl, she had to resort to begging to keep herself alive. She was taken in by a man, who gave her the name Ymir. He only intended to use her to manipulate the people who were rooting for theirancestor Ymir Fritz.
The Marley Authorities found out about the group, and they converted Ymir into a Titan. Ymir’s struggles came to an end when she ate Marcel, but then she had to bear the burden of his death. She believed that her salvation was Historia, but she too was taken away from Ymir. She died in Marley without getting a chance to see Historia become queen.
5Frieda Reiss
Frieda Reiss was the eldest daughter of Rod Reiss and because of this reason, she was tasked with the job of inheriting the power of the Founding Titan. During the ceremony, Frieda was in tears as she did not want to eat her uncle. Unlike most royals, Frieda was not coddled.

Frieda was kind to everyone, including the servants. Being the half-sister of Historia, Frieda looked after her and went as far as erasing her memories to protect her. She died while protecting her family from Grisha Yeager, which shows how selfless Frieda was.
4Marcel Galliard
Like most Eldians living in Marley, Marcel wanted to have a good life for himself and his family. His opportunity came when he was chosen to be a Warrior. Marcel was given the power of the Jaw Titan, and he was sent on a mission to Paradis Island along withReiner, Annie, and Bertolt.
Due to bad luck, Marcel was eaten by Ymir. He was very protective of his little brother, and he desperately tried to ensure that Porco would not become one of the Titans. He sacrificed his life to save Reiner from certain death.
3Willy Tybur
Willy Tybur was a noble who was well-respected throughout Marley. As the head of the Tybur family, he had the power to control the country’s affairs. After learning about the truth of their history, Willy Tybur decided to put in the effort to correct the mistakes of his ancestors.
However, before Willy Tybur could make amends, he waseaten by Eren Yeager, who had become a monster at that point who had absolutely no regard for the lives of people living in Marley. Tybur could not change the past, but he was making an attempt to change the future, and he undoubtedly deserved better than being killed by Eren.
2Mikasa’s Mother
Not much is known about Mikasa’s mother as she died beforeAttack on Titanstarted. She was a member of the Azumabito family. Mikasa’s mother was a brave and compassionate person. When the kidnappers killed her husband, she tried to get in the way to save her daughter. Sadly, the kidnappers were too powerful, and they killed her.
1Marco
Marco was a talented fighter, who graduated from the 104th Training Corps. He managed to finish in the top 10 during the training, which shows that he had a lot of potential. After graduating, he was given his own squad for aSurvey Corps mission. During the battle of Trost, Marco was overheard Reiner and Bertolt discussing their roles as Titans.
Marco believed that the two were joking, however, Reiner restrained him and asked Annie to take away Marco’s gear. The three Titans left Marco there to die on his own.
