Battlefield 2042is just days away from releasing. Despite launching on November 19, some have already had a chance tojump into the action via early access. While many players have criticized various aspects of the gameplay, the chaotic fun iconic to the massive battles of the franchise seems to have remained mostly intact. Recently, one gamer illustrated this point while driving a Hovercraft during an online match.
Amongst the new vehicles added toBattlefield 2042, Hovercrafts are one of the more unique. While these vehicles are meant to make traversal around maps easier, players recently found a weird glitch that lets them seemingly defy gravity. Captured by numerous players in-game, the bug allows players to drive up the side of buildings. Recently, one player decided to test this new way of using the vehicle with unfortunate yet hilarious results.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as Battlechud shared a video of an unlucky encounter they had inBattlefield 2042. The gameplay captured by the player took place onthe new Kaleidoscope map, set in South Korea. One of the distinct features of the battlefield was the skyscrapers that dotted the landscape. Battlechud took control of a Hovercraft and decided to test out the glitch that let players drive up walls. Unfortunately, things didn’t go according to plan.
Battlechud approached one of the massive buildings and utilized the glitch to begin climbing up the side. However, they were unprepared for what happened next. Suddenly, from atop the structure, a large piece of debris fell in their direction. Before the player had time to react, the mangled pile of metal impacted the Hovercraft. The collision destroyed the vehicle and subsequently killed the player. In the aftermath of the disaster, confused chatter of Battlechud and his teammates could be heard over voice chat.
Many members of theBattlefield 2042community on Reddit enjoyed this recent clip from Battlechud involving the Hovercraft. With over 2,200 upvotes in only a day, many were shocked by the unfortunate turn of events for the player. In addition, gamers debated whetherBattlefield 2042developer DICEwould patch out the bug allowing players to go up walls in Hovercrafts. Many commented that they liked the bug and thought that it should stay in the game.
