Elex IIis the sequel to the gameElex, andis considered to be a vintage open-world RPG. Created by the same minds behind theGothicandRisengames, it is considered to be a return to more classic open-world RPGs, though there are still some minor flaws within the gameplay.

The game has been discovered by many people, some of whom are new to the open-world concept. Since players may be new not just to the game but the genre as a whole, these beginner tips may prove useful. Some aspects of the game may seem obvious once a player knows of what they are doing, but are hard to catch onto in the beginning.
7Get Used To The Jetpack
The jetpack is anessential item to use withinElex II, and is something that a player should learn to use almost immediately. Once a player learns to use the jetpack, exploration will become much easier, as the player can navigate the world much faster.
However, the jetpack’s controls do take some getting used to before a player can properly start exploring. New players should take the time to properly learn how to maneuver with the jetpack before continuing on, as it will save plenty of hassle.

6Take Advantage Of The Unlimited Inventory
Thankfully, inventory inElex IIis unlimited;a player doesn’t have to fightin order to make space in it. This means that everything that a player picks up can be put in their inventory, unlike in many other RPGs, where a player’s inventory can quickly fill up with useless junk.
Although it can benefit players to sell things they find and collect in the world, at no time do they have to in order to free up space. As such, players can collect as many items as they want; there’s no point in leaving useful items behind.

5Visit The Bastion
InElex II, theBastion should be one of the first placesthat a player visits before continuing on with their adventure. This is because the Bastion has some very useful items for players to pick up and use later on, especially the large supply of potions.
If a player takes everything the Bastion has to offer, they’ll have a good head start, and won’t have to worry about things like food and potions for a little while. On top of this, there are also items that players can sell for a pretty penny later on.

4Beware Enemies With The Skull Icon
It’s no secret that combat inElex IIis difficult. When it comes to combat, this game’s enemies aren’t pushovers. This is especially true in the early game, when players don’t have the levels to take on tougher enemies and lack weapons that can finish the job for them.

However, enemies with an icon of a skullabove their head are particularly dangerous, and new players should steer away from them until they reach a high level. These enemies are much stronger than the player, and they can easily wipe them out in one hit if they are not careful.
3Unlock Fast Travel As Soon As Possible
Fast Travel, like the jetpack, will make gameplay much easier when it comes to traveling. There are fast travel points scattered all over the map ofElex II, and each one serves as a free waypoint for a player to travel to or from once it is unlocked.
It’s very simple tounlock a travel pointas well. All the player has to do is approach a fast travel point they haven’t already unlocked, and then the travel point will be open. It makes getting around the world ofElex IImuch easier, as it’s faster than just walking.

2Get A Companion Quickly
Companions are always going to be useful inElex II. There are various NPCsscattered throughout the open worldthat can become a player’s companion if they fulfill all the right circumstances. Players should complete them as soon as possible, because companions can be useful in several ways.
Not only will a player be able to have conversations with their companion and learn more about the game’s lore, but combat becomes easier. The companion will be able to attack other enemies while the player is fighting, which should prove useful.

1Learn How To Acquire & Level Up Skills
Skills, like inmost other open-world games, are one of the most important things for a player to work on inElex II.Players will need to level them up with skill points, which they will receive once they level up.
However, players will also have to find a proper teacher in order to level up their skills; in lore, they will teach the protagonist. They’re placed throughout the world, and can be difficult to find for newer players to find, but with enough exploring, any player should be able to get there and learn skills such as Combat and Survival.

Elex 2is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows.
