Summary
When dropping into the gigantic map featured inFarlight 84, players are going to need to keep their eyes peeled for any powerful weapons they can get their hands on which will help ensure their survival, and maybe, even contribute to securing that sweet victory at the end of a match. While most players will focus on finding a gun that can compete at a fair distance, such as snipersand assault rifles, for example, submachine guns are much more devastating when getting up close and personal.

In fact, because of the way the map ofFarlight 84is set out, withmultiple small townsand urban areas that are only a short jetpack ride away from one another, it means it’s never a bad idea to keep an SMG handy. There’s a total of 5 submachine guns that players will be able to find when exploring the map and trying to survive, and while they all possess a high rate of fire which is going to melt enemy health bars in a matter of seconds, there are some that are a lot more effective overall than others.
Despite having a pretty cool and unique makeshift design, the Mad Rabbit is unfortunately avery unreliable weaponthat players aren’t going to want to hold onto for an entire match. Not only is the base rate of fire slightly lower than a lot of other SMGs, but the recoil is also quite difficult to handle, making it extremely easy to spray and pray while missing too many shots in the process.

Throwing a muzzle and optic on the gun will definitely improve the performance, but it’s not really worth sticking with the weapon toearn XPdue to how hard it can make killing enemies in the long run. If someone stumbles upon a Mad Rabbit soon after dropping into the map, then it should definitely be picked up to hold them over for a little while, but as soon as any other gun or a different SMG pops up, it’s best to leave it behind. The Smoke Bomb ability can definitely be useful for navigating between buildings whensnipers are perched atop the rooftops, but its uses are still very limited.
4Uzi
Any players who have used a Uzi in other shooter games will know exactly what to expect when picking up this weapon, a gun with an incredibly high rate of fire that can burn through ammo in the blink of an eye. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing though because since the core gameplay ofFarlight 84isalready so fast-paced, it means that the Uzi can work incredibly well for taking down teams or even small groups in quick succession.

It’s low weight will also keep the player light on their feet, allowing them to sprint and jetpack their way around the map like nobody’s business which really encourages thatrun-and-gun playstylewhich often works incredibly well inFarlight 84. This type of playstyle is complimented by the Jump Pads which will shoot the player into the sky, allowing them to drop down on enemies from above while breaking their fall with the jetpack.
The major downside to the Uzi though is how often the player is going to be reloading the magazine, meaning if they aren’t landing every shot after squeezing the trigger, the gun immediately becomes ineffective. Players with pinpoint accuracy will definitely be able to get a lot out of the Uzi, but it certainly isn’t for everyone.

3UMP99
The UMP99 is very much an all-rounder when it comes to its base stats, so while it doesn’t excel in any particular area, it still doesn’t have any major downsides. The medium fall-off damage range is actually very generous considering it’s an SMG, and the incredibly low mobility means players aren’t going to be sacrificing any agility when picking it up. The accuracy is also very fair and while the rate of fire might not be quite as high as something like the Uzi, the higher stability means it’s still much more reliable.
The UMP99’s special skill, Corrosion, is what really elevates it to the next level though since every player on the map is going to be feverishlyscavenging for shields, so being able to largely negate them is an extremely powerful and useful bonus. To top this all off, the UMP99 can also be equipped with any attachments and isn’t just limited to the muzzle and optics, making it easy to create a weapon that is near-unstoppable when leveled up.

2MF18
When picking up an MF18, players will immediately feel just how weighty this gun is which definitely makes it a little less ideal for run-and-gun tactics, but it excels in every other area, making it atrue force to be reckoned with. Considering that the gun has a decent range and very stable accuracy, it’s surprising that the weapon is actually classed as an SMG at all, especially since the drum magazine makes it much more reminiscent of a light machine gun.

Something else that sets the MF18 apart from its peers is its burst-fire which ramps up the rate of fire while still keeping the recoil in check, making it much easier to land shots. This isn’t even mentioning the gun’s unique skill, Recon Scan, which in some cases, can be outright game-breaking, especially when there areonly a few enemies leftwho are all concentrated in a single area.
1White Dwarf
If a player is lucky enough to uncover a White Dwarf during a match, they need to make sure they hold onto it as it’s really an outstanding weapon, and by far the best SMG in the entire game. The only thing that lets the weapon down slightly is the accuracy due to it being an energy weapon, but it’s not so bad that it makes landing shots difficult, it can just take a little bit of practice to get used to. Once players have used the weapon a few times, it becomesabsolutely devastatingdue to how high all of its base stats are, including the damage and rate of fire.
It also has a much better range than many of the other SMGs, so while it’s great for getting out of close encounters, it can also prove useful for picking off enemies from afar when a 2X scope is attached. It can also be worth equipping a bulkier magazine to counteract how quickly this gun shreds through ammunition.

The Sentinel Fort skill really is the cherry on top and can be used in so many different scenarios. Whether there are plenty of enemies surrounding the player, a small group that can be seen in the distance, or even just for when a team is hunkering down in a building, there’s really never a bad time tothrow down a turretto provide some extra backup.
