Borderlands 3is opening doors with itsnew set of Vault Hunter skill treescoming later this year. Although the exact details remain up in the air, fans already know that FL4K is getting a new crowd control, shield-focused tree called the Trapper. In it, FL4K gets a new Hyperion Loaderbot pet, as well as a new action skill called Gravity Snare.
There’s a lot of options for the other characters, whether that’s something focused on elements for Moze or something with flavor for Zane, and it should hopefully lead to a bunch ofnew character builds forBorderlands 3players to check out. As such, it’s worth seeing what Amara the Siren could use in a new skill tree.

BL3 DLC: Amara’s New Action Skill
Although this newBL3skill tree is likely to add a new dimension to every character, there’s certain trends that probably won’t be broken. Just as FL4K gets a new pet, Zane will likely get a new piece of technology, andMoze will likely get new weapons for Iron Bear, Amara is likely to get a new ability with her fists. Thus far, she can slam the ground for AoE damage, create an astral projection of herself dealing damage in a row, or grab a foe with a summoned fist, coupled with a few additions like the ability to phaselock nearby enemies.
As such, it would seem that her action skill has all the based really covered, but there’s at least one possibility that comes to mind, which would be really interesting to see inBorderlands 3: her 6 fists in actual combat. Similar to how Moze gets a new UI with Iron Bear, a “beatdown” action skill could give players control of her six arms, allowing her to run around and beat down enemies with a significant flurry of blows. It could be very much akin toBrick’s ability inBorderlands 1, but perhaps slightly improved. Given that things like Zane’s digi-clone are likely inspired by other characters, it’s not much of a stretch.

BL3 DLC: Amara’s New Skill Tree
Yet it’s Amara’s skill trees that have the most potential. Her Brawl skill tree focuses on close combat and melee, while her Mystical Assault is more of a general DPS tree. Her Fist of the Elements tree makes her the best elementalist inBorderlands 3, but while there are plenty of survivability and tank skills found in her tree, she does have more of a straightforward focus: hit and hit hard.
As such, it would be pointless to even try to speculate as to what her new skill tree could do, simply because there are so many things it could do. More DPS and elemental skills would remain welcome, bettering what Amara is already best at. It could be a specialized tree that gives Amara something her other skills don’t: long distance abilities. Or it could be something focused on enhancing and buffing explosives, or it could be something more unpredictable inspired byKrieg the Psycho, or it could be something out of the blue her extra arms wielding guns, making her more likeBorderlands 2’s Gunzerker.
In short, Amara mains are likely happy with herBorderlands 3builds as it is, yet there’s always room for more. And more for Amara means raising the ceiling on an already high roof.
Borderlands 3is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are in development.
