It’s safe to say that someBorderlands 3fans may be disappointed by today’s Gifts of Mayhem, especially since they received ashift code for three Golden Keysyesterday. Others will be grateful for the free in-game content that they have received this week, which has included things like a candy cane weapon trinket and a legendary assault rifle.

On the bright side, now that theBorderlands 3Gifts of Mayhem event is over, fans should be able to look forward to regular shift codes returning to the game. Prior to the Gifts of Mayhem event,Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchfordhad been releasing new shift codes for free Golden Keys on the weekends. Presumably, Pitchford will start releasing shift codes for Golden Keys again now that the Gifts of Mayhem event has concluded.

Overall, this week has been quite a busy one forBorderlands 3fans. Not only have they had new shift codes to redeem on a near-daily basis thanks to the Gifts of Mayhem event, but this week also saw the release of the firstBorderlands 3story DLC.Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpotis available now, givingBorderlands 3players the chance to explore a brand new casino location, fight new enemies, and collect a ton of new loot. Reception to the Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot DLC has been mostly positive so far, and it may very well convince lapsed players to return to the looter-shooter.
