Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warrecently added a new version of Nuketown, and the latest take on the beloved map has been welcomed with open arms by fans. According to a recent leak, though, Nuketown ‘84 will not be the only version of the map inCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Nuketown has seen many different looksover the years, from the original nuclear testing site to a futuristic simulation. However, this leaked version of the map combines the aesthetics ofCall of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Nuketown and Nuketown ‘84, showing the current version of the map covered in snow. With Christmas lights and decorations covering Nuketown’s iconic sign, it quickly becomes clear that this next take on the map is themed around Christmas.

While it is unknown ifCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warwill have a winter event on the same scale asCall of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Halloween festivities, it is clear that the Nuketown map will be showing some holiday spirit. With a night sky, numerous wreaths, and redesigned house interiors, the map has gotten a makeover fitting of the season of giving, and fans should expect it to arrive some time in December.

While the inclusion of a winter Nuketown may get fans’ hopes up regarding a massive Christmas event forCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, players should be aware that another event could be taking its place. With a different leak hinting at aCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warnuke eventto kick off the game’sCall of Duty: Warzoneintegration, a winter event on top of that would require a lot of work on the part of Treyarch and seems unlikely.

Regardless of whether this map is an indication of a larger event, it will be interesting to see if new easter eggs are discovered in this Christmassy version of Nuketown. The base version of the map features some fun new additions, as thelatest Nuketown mannequin easter eggputs two unique filters over the usualCall of Dutyaction. A new RC-XD track can be explored outside of the map as well, and while the map is likely just a fun and festive visual redesign, it would be a nice surprise to see more easter eggs like these added in.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warfans have a busy December ahead of them, with this latest Nuketown map joining a huge update and the launch of Season 1. Hopefully this snowy version of Nuketown does not see thereturn of the out of map exploit, however, as players could be stripping the holiday joy from matches if it comes back.
