After downloading a massive update,Call of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers can now dive into everything season 2 has to offer, including new maps and game modes. There is also plenty to earn as far as newModern Warfarebattle pass rewardsgo, and new guns—the Grau 5.56 and Striker 45—to check out. Of course, there were also some balance changes made to the game, though notably not as many as past updates.
As far as weapons are concerned, there were only a handful of major tweaks confirmed via the officialCall of Duty: Modern Warfarepatch notes. Perhaps the biggest of these changes were applied to the Crossbow, which will no longer kill Juggernauts in one blow with the explosive crossbow bolts. Other changes include a kill-tracking fix, some “slight tuning” to its reload speed (with more adjustments on the way), and a damage bug fix related to Deployable Cover.

The SA87 also received a damage buff while fixing its recoil, and the RAM-7 extended mags expanded from 45 to 50. Notably, this is the extent of the weapon changes, so it’ll be interesting to see how these influence theModern Warfareseason 2meta game that will indubitably arise. It is, however, worth mentioning that the devs noted that they are working on a fix for the Solozero NVG Enhanced, as it is supposed to see through smoke and currently isn’t. Alongside thenew maps and guns forModern Warfare, it seems safe to say that these changes will be welcome ones, though it will likely be a few days before it can be determined how big of an effect these changes do have. Still, despite season 2 just beginning, many are looking forward to what’s still to come down the road.
