Infinity Ward releases a newCall of Duty: WarzoneandModern Warfareupdate on most Tuesdays, but this week will apparently have two separate updates for fans of the game to download. While there will be aModern Warfareplaylist updatereleased a little bit later on, Infinity Ward has started rolling out a quick patch that addresses some bugs and exploits plaguing its popular shooter games.

The new patch is available for all platforms. It renames the Border War skin in the shop, as well as fixes amajorWarzoneexploitthat was essentially allowingCall of Dutyplayers to cheat in the game. For the uninitiated,Warzoneplayers discovered a way that they could choose their starting weapon in the battle royale. All they needed to do was drop their weapon at the last second before loading into a match, and then they would find it lying on the ground right where they left it. As of the latest update, this particularWarzoneexploit will no longer be possible.

Meanwhile, the new update also fixes one of the many issues plaguing theRytec AMR sniper rifle. For some reason, the Rytec AMR has been especially buggy since its introduction to the game, with Infinity Ward having already released some fixes for the issues the sniper has been dealing with. The latest Rytec AMR fix addresses the bug where shots were actually going above players' crosshairs.

Later today,Call of Dutyfans can expect another update for bothModern WarfareandWarzonethat will change up the playlists. On theWarzoneside of things, the update will bring backPlunder Trios, as well as prepare the game for the return of Warzone Rumble this weekend.Modern Warfarefans, meanwhile, will get a new Party Mode Mosh Pit playlist, as well as one that exclusively features the Cheshire Park and Shoot House multiplayer maps.

Those looking for more substantialCall of Dutyupdates should note thatWarzoneSeason 5is expected to start at some point in early August. Details on what exactlyWarzoneSeason 5 will entail are unavailable at the time of this writing, but many fans believe it will include some major changes to the battle royale map. Fans will just have to wait and see to find out more.
