The animated trailer gives viewers an idea of the comic series' premise. As a crack splits the sky above Gotham City, Batman is transported to an “unfamiliar world” with his memories wiped. Showing what looks to be one of the six upcoming issue’s cover art variants, the narration explains how The Dark Knight must fight in an infinite loop of battles, filled with “strange new foes, where all is chaos.” Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Deathstroke make appearances in the trailer as well. While the pairing of Batman andFortnitemay seem a bit unusual, it is not the first time the powerhouses have intersected.Fortniteheld a Batman crossover eventin 2019, which introduced a variety of themed cosmetics and weapons, including the iconic Grapnel Gun and Explosive Batarang. Players were also treated to a takeover of the Tilted Town POI, transforming it into Gotham City. Given that the last DC-oriented event didn’t have an accompanying comic, players can likely expect a bigger Dark Knight presence this time around.

Batman/Fortnite: Zero Pointseems like a good strategy to get gamers into reading comics, and in-turn getting Batman fans to try outFortnite. However, some gamers who don’t playFortnitefor the story probably won’t be interested in purchasing a book, let alone six.
