Behaviour Interactive’s asymmetrical horror gameDead by Daylighthas become famous because of its crossovers with major icons of the genre, fromHalloween’s Michael Myers toSilent Hill’s Pyramid Head. However, the experience is built on its own original lore and characters inspired by horror tropes, such as a samurai demon called The Oni who will be added toDead by Daylight Mobilenext week.
The mobile port forDead by Daylightwas released earlier this year and immediately became a hit, but in terms of available content it still needs a lot to catch up with the base game that launched in 2016. Behaviour has been making up that gap with updatesadding content like new game modes toDead by Daylight Mobile. Its “Cursed Legacy” chapter will add The Oni, Survivor Yui Kimura, and two maps making up the Crotus Prenn Asylum.

Though the press release sent out by Behaviour Interactive does not specify exactly when Cursed Legacy will release, it does suggest there will be a lot of people playing it sinceDead by Daylight Mobilehas been downloaded on eight million devices worldwide.
While the mobile port receives updates to catch up with its PC and console equivalent,Dead by Daylightproper is also ramping up to add new content of its own.Dead by DaylightChapter 17 is coming soon, and fans have theorized it will involve a new Killer called The Alchemist who has been referenced through in-game lore.
The asymmetrical horror title has also been launching quality of life updates and new mechanics meant to update it following the game’s fourth anniversary. Recently,Dead by Daylightadded cross-play supportfor PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One, with plans to also implement cross-progression sometime in the future. However,Dead by Daylight Mobileis not included in this deal.
Behaviour Interactive is also planning to releaseDead by Daylighton Google Stadia with exclusive featuressuch as Crowd Play and Crowd Choice for streamers. With all of this content being juggled at once, it’s good to see the mobile port continuing to receive support in the form of new characters like The Oni.
Dead by Daylight Mobileis available for Android and iOS, with other ports available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
