Apart from the guns and the usual necromorphs, the suits are the selling point of the game; it’s a goal that keeps many players going amidst all the anxiety and jump scares. For additional motivation, here are all the suits in the game and how to actually get them.
16Engineering Suit
There’s probably no question on how to get this one. It’s the default suit in allDead Spacegames for Isaac and, as expected,Dead Space 3gives this one to the players as a starter armor.
This suit hasn’t changed much over the games. Players can simply purchase it at the first store for 1,000 Credits and be on their way for upgradesand necromorph slaughter.
15Security Suit
The Security Suit is the first real suit inDead Space 3that actually looks like it was made for combat. The Pulse Rifle bonus complements this look.
Players can acquire this suit as early as Chapter 4. Its schematic is located in a church right after the malfunctioning door. It’s also similar to previous suits from otherDead Spacegames and looks like it was made for riots.
14Deep Dig Suit
The Deep Dig Suit is a mean-looking one, though it’s mostly for aesthetic purposes. to get this suit, the players need to collect all weapon parts. Do note that this is impossible in single-player mode as some weapon parts are located in co-op-only areas.

This particular suit sports an industrial appearance; however, it does appear less protective than the crude Engineering Suit.
13Archaeologist Suit
If players are looking for another “deep digging” suit that’s easier to acquire, then the Archaeologist Suit might be up most players' alley. It doesn’t offer any significant bonus other than aesthetic ones, but players only need to be in Chapter 11 in the power generator for the furnace in order to get it.
The fur collar is a welcome stylistic touch for this outfit, especially since most other suits in the game prefer function over flash.
12Arctic Survival Suit
The Arctic Survival Suit is pretty self-explanatory. It’s essentiallyDead Space 3’s winter coat whose utility is situational in Issac and John Carver’s case.
Players also don’t need to look too hard for this one, as Isaac and John Carver will grab it themselves out of necessity. Like the Archaeologist Suit, it comes with a fur collar to emphasize the point of its environmental function.
11EVA Suit
The EVA Suit is similar to the Arctic Survival Suit in that they’re both automatic acquisitions for the players. Additionally, they were also both promotional suits forDead Space 3.

This suit is used for traveling and moving in the vacuum of space. Isaac grabs the EVA suit while escaping the exploding USM Eudora. It’s one of the lightest-looking suits in the game, and is more akin to a traditional astronaut’s garb.
10Flight Suit
The Flight Suit is a cosmetic option that combines the crudeness of the Deep Dig Suit as well as the sophistication of the EVA Suit. This makes it perfect for players who want a mix and match of these opposite aesthetics.
Obtaining this suit can be quite a chore. It requires that players obtain all the artifacts in the game, be they S.C.A.F., EarthGov, Unitologist,or Alien.
9Hostile Environment Suit
One of the heaviest-looking suits in the game, the Hostile Environment Suit turns Isaac or John Carver into an absolute unit. Despite the name, it’s really all cosmetic. Regardless, players who prefer the rugged style will be pleased with this one.
The Hostile Environment Suit can be unlocked after completingall optional queststhroughoutDead Space 3, including the co-op ones.
8Legionary Suit
The Legionary Suit takes the common suit template forDead Space 3and puts its own military shock trooper twist on it. This lends the suit an elite appearance.

It’s first worn by another character during the prologue, but players can easily acquire it in Chapter 14. Due to the more robotic appearance, it’s one of the top favorite suits among manyDead Space 3fans.
7Elite Suit
While on the topic of elite-looking suits, the Elite Suit practically takes the cake. Its most notable feature is the striking contrast of the red color for the shoulder and collar area, along with the darker helmet. John Carver’s version is also different than Isaac’s.
In order to get this one, players have to finish the game at least once. That means it’s usually only available for second playthroughs.
