Destiny 2has hundreds of weapons for players to hunt down, but some are just more attractive than others. A class Hand Cannon recently returned to the game in the form of the Fatebringer, and veteran Guardians will remember this as something of a monster from the originalDestiny. Thanks to the Dragonfly perk, which caused enemies to explode if killed with a precision hit, it was used to rapidly clear out large rooms of enemies on every planet in the system. Theperk system has changed somewhatsince the original game, however.

The good news is that not only is the Fatebringer back, but it can role with Firefly, the slightly better version of Dragonfly that is available inDestiny 2. So, while it is not easy to get due to the random nature of rolls inDestiny 2, players can get a version of the Fatebringer that is extremely close to the original they will know and love.

Getting Fatebringer is also very straightforward and will be a process that veteran Guardians will be familiar with. All they need to is jump into the Vault of Glass Raid and start clearing encounters. Encounter chests have a chance to drop Vault of Glass weapons and armor, and players will have a chance to get the Fatebringer this way. Remember, this only works for encounter chests. While thehidden chests in Vault of Glasscan drop weapons, they will only drop weapons that players have already received in the Raid. As such, they will need to keep farming until they get at least one Fatebringer from an encounter chest.

While veteran players may think a Vault of Glass run will be a simple prospect, they should be aware that some mechanics have changed since the days of the originalDestiny. Encounters like theGorgon Mazecontain some small differences that could catch players out if they jump in too fast.

Just like before, the Vault of Glass ends with afight against Atheon, and this has also been changed up with many old tricks that Guardians used to use to fell the Vex creature no longer working. Still, successfully finishing each encounter will give players a chance to get their hands on a Fatebringer and may even bring them a roll that is close to the classic glory of the old version.

Truthfully, there are plenty of other good weapons in the Vault of Glass, such as the Vex Mythoclast, so players have plenty of reasons to put together a fireteam and jump into this classicDestinycontent.

Destiny 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
