Guardians ofDestiny 2are gearing up and preparing for the launch of Season 14. Bringing with it the new Armor Synthesis system, new Seasonal Story content, and the return of the Vault of Glass,Destiny 2Season 14 has plenty of Guardians eager to start the new season.
With Season of the Chosen coming to a close, Guardians should take the timeto prepare forDestiny 2Season 14. Guardians eager to jump into Season 14 must wait until August 07, 2025, before exploring what the new season has to offer.

Season 14 will go live on May 11 around theDestiny 2weekly reset similar to previous seasons. Bungie will have a maintenance window around the weekly reset for players to download and install the seasonal update. Previous seasons have started maintenance at 8:00 AM PST, shutting down companion app features. Guardians are usually then taken offline around 8:45 AM PST with theDestiny 2update rolling out around 9:00 AM PST.
When Guardians have finished downloading and installing the update on their platforms, they can launchDestiny 2and get into Season 14.Destiny 2maintenance for previous seasonal launches has concluded around 10:00 AM PST; however, this time can be extended if any issues arise for Bungie during the update process. In short, though, fans can expect it by mid-morning or midday (depending on their time zone) on May 11.
Destiny 2’s current season, Season of the Chosen, has set up some interesting plot points Guardians are eager to see continued in Season 14. The basis of the new Seasonal Story is still a mystery, but many Guardians hope it will further develop Crow as a character in theDestinyuniverse. Further, with leaked information suggesting thename of the newDestiny 2season is Season of the Splicer, many Guardians are curious about how Siva could return. Because of the excitement around a new season, Guardians may experience a queue to get logged intoDestiny 2when it launches.
Guardians can expect more information around Season 14, as they get closer to launch. Bungie still has one more This Week at Bungie blog post before Season 14 starts, and from it, Guardians can likely expect the name of Season 14, its seasonal roadmap, as well as other important information in that post.
