When Does Season of the Wish Start?

Season of the Wish starts on November 28th at 9 AM PST/12 PM EST once maintenance ends. With all the technical difficulties thatDestiny 2has been having over the past year, players should be ready for extended maintenance and delaysthat could push the release of Season 23 back a few hours if not longer. Naturally, players will also be at the mercy of how long it takes to download and install the new update once it is available.

How to Prepare for Season of the Wish

Just like with previous seasons during Year 6 ofDestiny 2,the Power capwill not be increased beyond 1810. This means that players will not have to waste hours infusing their gear to get their gear ready for the new dungeon, Warlord’s Ruin. Since there will be a bunch of new weapons and armor coming out in Season 23, players may want to take this time to stock up on materials used for Masterworking. This includes Enhancement Cores, Enhancement Prisms, and Ascendant Shards.

Speaking of Shards, Season of the Wish begins the process ofremoving Legendary Shards from the game. While they won’t be completely removed from the game until The Final Shape, mechanics like focusing Engrams will no longer require Legendary Shards. Since they are going away, players may want to take this time to spend their Legendary Shards on whatever they want.

The biggest, most important thing that players will want to do to prepare for Season of the Wish is to complete the entiretyof Imbaru Engine. While the majority of the activity will remain in the game, the final puzzle that revealed what Savathun’s Heirloom was is going to be removed from the game along with the shader.

Seasonal content from Year 6 will not be removed until the launch of The Final Shape in June, so players do not need to worry about missing out on any of that just yet.
