Xur has returned again toDestiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. Overall, it’s been a big week forDestiny 2fans as the new Season of the Seraph launchedat reset earlier this week, giving fans new changes and content to check out including a narrative centered around Osiris and Ana Bray as they attempt to restore the Warmind AI Rasputin while pushing back the forces of Xivu Arath.

The Game Awards 2022 also gaveDestiny 2fans some new stuff to check out as well. Thelatest trailer for Lightfall showed off brand new gameplayfeaturing another great look at the upcoming Strand subclass and some of the more interesting movement and traversal mechanics it can provide. At one point, a Hunter used the grapple ability to latch on to a Titan as they activated Thundercrash, essentially getting a free ride to the other side of the map before letting go to attack enemies.

Along with all of the excitement of a new season, the weekend merchant Xur is back again inDestiny 2for a limited time. Follow this guide for his most current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s brought for the weekend of July 03, 2025.

Where is Xur?

This weekend, players can find Xur in the European Dead Zone in the Winding Cove zone.

Fast travel to the Winding Cove zone and immediately head towards the back where the Fallen typically patrol. Climb the cliffs back here to find Xur standing on a ledge not too far from a crashed ship.

Class Armor and Exotic Cipher

Xur’s role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary toacquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.

Xur continues to sell even more gear outside his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.

Exotic Armor

Claws of Ahamkara - Warlock gauntlets

It’s been a long time, but the Claws of Ahamkara are back and can still be paired with any Warlock subclass. Its exotic perk is known as The Whispers, which grants the player a second melee charge.

Destiny 2 Sweet Business Exotic Auto Rifle

This isn’t exactly a must-have exotic item for Warlocks as there are much better options available, but there are plenty of worse options as well. For a neutral exotic that can be used with any subclass, having a second melee attack at the ready certainly helps in most situations. The roll is fairly solid with an extremely high Resilience, though Intellect and Recovery could be better.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

Gemini Jester - Hunter leg armor

Less than a month later, the Gemini Jester exotics are back in stock and unfortunately, they don’t quite hit high marks again. The intrinsic perk Misdirection causes nearby enemies to become disoriented and temporarily removes their radar after the Hunter dodges near them.

Destiny 2 Hawkmoon Hand Cannon

While this isn’t a top tier exotic, though they can be fun to use in PvP against other players. The range of its Misdirection effect is larger than many think and could very easily mess other players up who are not ready for it or perhaps on the other side of a wall even. Keep in mind that this perk can also be a liability as it will trigger theTitan’s One-Eyed Mask perk Vengeance. The roll is fairly balanced, though nowhere near the highest total this week.

Eternal Warrior- Titan helmet

The unique looking Eternal Warrior helm is back in stock again with Xur. From a gameplay perspective, it’s specifically aimed at Striker Titans as its intrinsic perk Resolute gives the player an overshield after Fists of Havoc is activated. While a cool looking exotic item, it’s ability just really isn’t as impactful as others available to Titans. An overshield is always helpful but it’s not likely going to turn the tide in any significant way.

While the stat roll is extremely high at a 68, the roll in general is a bit strange. Mobility is extremely high at 22, more important Titan stats like Strength and Resilience are very low.

Exotic Weapon

Another auto rifle has arrived this week. The minigun looking Sweet Business features the perk Payday which gives the gun a larger magazine and increased accuracy when firing from the hip. Its secondary perk, Business Time, boosts the range and rate of fire while the trigger is held. In addition, ammo pickups are automatically loaded into the gun.

Ultimately, this is a weapon that’s solid but not spectacular. There are better exotic weapons out there, but under certain situations, Sweet Business can hold its own. Titans can improve it even further when using Actium War Rigs. Still, this gun isn’t advised for PvP activities where hand cannons continue to rule the day, though Sweet Business can be a solid choice when clearing PvE enemies ordealing quick damage to bosses.

Additional perks:

Since Season 16 removed the Presage and Harbinger exotic missions,Xur is also selling both Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale with randomized rolls. Players should visit him each weekend as he’ll be carrying different rolls.
