The Fists of Fate is an interesting Unique item that works for all classes inDiablo 4. Colloquially referred to as the Gacha Gloves, this armor piece throws all caution to the wind and submits players to the unforgiving whims of RNG to (potentially) devastating effect.

Surprisingly, a Unique item that bases its entire concept around luck isn’t as novel as some players would think.Diablo 4already has plenty of RNG-based combat mechanics, and the Fists of Fate doubles down on all of them. Here are some tips on how to get these gloves and some recommended builds that work best with them.

The Fists of Fate Unique gloves in Diablo 4

Updated June 03, 2025, by Marc Santos:The Fists of Fate have remained a powerful, if not niche, Unique that works best with builds that make heavy use of the Lucky Hit mechanic. Blizzard has since buffed these gloves to provide better stats to its wearer, and Vessel of Hatred changed the loot tables for Tormented bosses as well. We’ve updated this guide to account for both changes.

How to Get the Fists of Fate in Diablo 4

As ofVessel of Hatred, the best way to get Uniques is tofarm Tormented bosses on Torment I difficulty or above. Amongthe many bosses inDiablo 4, Fists of Fate can be target-farmed fromthe Beast in Ice, which players can find in the Glacial Fissure dungeon just south of Kyovashad. You’ll need12 Distilled Fear to summon this boss— Distilled Fear can be obtained from Nightmare Dungeons, Tree of Whispers caches, World Bosses, and the Kurast Undercity. They can also be dropped by elites or sold at The Den.

A lower-level alternative to this is to farmBlind Burrows. This dungeon has a very high number of spiders inside, and these monsters havea higher chance of dropping glovesthan other enemies. Farm theNightmare versionof this dungeon when possible to get an extra chance of getting the Fists of Fate after completing a run.

Keep in mind that spiders also have increased drop chances for chest pieces, foci, and 2H swords, which means the odds of getting a pair of gloves from killing them won’t be as high as many players think. On top of that, these monsters still drop other item types, so expect to do a lot of farming.

Fists of Fate Stats

These Unique gloves are all about getting lucky. They have a chance to make any of your attacks deal massive damage, or none at all. It’s funny when it works, but when it doesn’t, it could cost you a lot of time.

With that being said, Fists of Fate work best with builds that havehigh attack speedor fast-hitting Core Skillslikethe Barbarian’s Whirlwind, the Rogue’s Rapid Fire, orthe Sorcerer’s Ice Shards. By attacking quickly enough, players can take advantage of those max damage procs more often while making the 1% procs less noticeable.

Death Blow hitting for over 1M damage in Diablo 4

Since Fists of Fate falls under the Universal Unique category, it can be used on any build by any class. However, due to its nature, it works best with fast-hitting attacks.

Consider building toward Lucky Hit Chance with extra stats for Damage vs Crowd Controlled if you’re using Fists of Fate. Having a ~52% chance on Lucky Hit to apply a random CC effect is much stronger than some players might think, and if you’re already taking advantage of conditional damage stats, Fists of Fate inDiablo 4will help you get those big damage numbers more easily.

Hybrid Thorns and Whirlwind build for Barbarians in Diablo 4

Having a Fists of Fate with the max 300% damage roll on its unique effect means you’ll be dealing ~150% damage on average. Since the item was updated to feature crit chance, attack speed, and bonus Lucky Hit chance, it is now much better than it was before. Still, the dependence on RNG might not be up to everyone’s taste.
