Players who love RPGs may findDivinity: Original Sin 2quite attractive for its mixture of immersive tactical gameplay with an equally-riveting story, having players use characters who are actively pursuing Divinity to reform the world of Rivellon in their own image. And as players pursue the game’s DLC offerings, part of the way they can make their pursuit of the divine much easier is through the Relics of Rivellon, ancient artifact armor that can give them incredible advantages in combat.

The Four Relics of Rivellon side by side

As with other legendary items inDivinity: Original Sin 2, obtaining the Relics of Rivellon isn’t easy, however. One item set in particular, the Vulture Set, will need players to explore a more lore-intensive aspect of the RPG’s world. And before obtaining the Vulture Set, players first need to finish the storyline “Keep Calm and Carrion.” Outside the bird-related pun, just what else does this storyline offer?

The Four Relics Of Rivellon: The Vulture Armor

Given the number of quests inDivinity: Original Sin 2, fans of the game might wonder just what significance “Keep Calm and Carrion” holds that it remains one of the must-complete quests in the game. At its core, “Keep Calm and Carrion” is necessary for fans who want to attain theVulture Armor, consideredone of the fabled Four Relics of Rivellon inDivinity: Original Sin 2.

In “The Four Relics of Rivellon” DLC, the game provides players with four (4) new sets of Armor that they can acquire after unlocking quest points all across the game. These Armor sets have four (4) to five (5) parts, with each part almost always located across various Acts of the story. Proceeding to the next Act prior to acquiring the armor part will have it lost forever until the next playthrough, so players are advised to keep on their toes.

What Is Keep Calm And Carrion?

The questline specifically dedicated to acquiring the Vulture Armor isKeep Calm and Carrion. Bird puns aside, this questline explores the ancient dwarven rituals surrounding the creation of a powerful armor that can defy gravity itself. Compared tothe more tanky Devourer Armor among the Four Relics inDivinity: Original Sin 2, the Vulture Armor is faster and sleeker. The Armor has these parts and these qualities:

Part 1: Dwarven Customs & Traditions

Players can officially start “Keep Calm and Carrion” as soon asAct 1 in theDivinity: Original Sin 2story. Throughout their exploration of Fort Joy, they eventually get access to Orivand’s Chambers (X:254, Y:126) and the Witch’s Hut (X:365, Y:227). These locations give players access to books called “Dwarven Customs & Traditions.” It helps to read both books as soon as possible, as these officially begin the questline.

Reading the books give players access to all recipes of the Vulture Armour, plus a recipe for something called Source-Infused Meat. The latter is created by combining Mutton, any Earth Essence, and a Source Orb. Getting the second volume is a requirement for “Treated Like Cattle,” which involves transforming two (2) talking cows back into regular mages.

Dwarven Customs and Traditions

Part 2: Enter Duna

When players read the “Dwarven Customs & Traditions” book, they are introduced to a deity called Duna. InDivinitylore, Duna isn’t a chicken, despitethe chicken reference of thisDivinity: Original Sin 2quest. Rather, Duna is one of the seven (7) Eternals who decided they could “create” a world in their own image, with Duna being responsible for the Dwarven race. It’s Duna’s unity with the other Eternals that had them banish the God King and the rest of his brethren into the Void.

The Summoning Area of Duna’s Undertaker

The book eventually tells them of Duna’s Undertaker, an entity serving as Duna’s guardian and effectively the custodian of the Vulture Armor. In order to summon Duna’s Undertaker, they need to go to an altar southwest of Driftwood (X:217, Y:028) and summon it through an offering.

Part 3: Gathering The Offerings

As mentioned above, players need three (3) specific items to create the offering needed to summon Duna’s Undertaker. For the newDivinity: Original Sin 2player, this might seem complicated at first glance. However, the items are relatively easy to retrieve and may even lead players to more questlines along the way. To create Source-Infused Meat, players need:

Part 4: Summoning Duna’s Undertaker

When players enter Mordus’ house for the first time, reading the documents there would describe the location of Duna’s Undertaker’s altar, which the map will mark as soon as players finish their observation. When players get to the location and offer the Source-Infused Meat, Duna’s Undertaker is summoned and has the Grounded status, making it immune to being teleported for a turn. Duna will have a conversation with the person who made the offering.

Smooth-Talking Duna’s Undertaker

Players who loveDivinity: Original Sin 2conversations will likely want a Dwarf character or even Beast (who is a Dwarf) to talk to Duna’s Undertaker. This gives them a better opportunity to be able to appease the creature. This option is ideal for players withDivinity: Original Sin 2Classes that aren’t on the stronger side. When players appease Duna’s Undertaker, it vanishes without providing any room for opportunity attacks. To do so, players need to do these things:

Fighting Duna’s Undertaker

Playerswho want to test their might against thisDivinity: Original Sin 2creaturemay want to skip appeasement and instead head straight to the action instantly. When the battle begins, Undead Dwarves begin spawning around the Undertaker to attack the player and their companions. Here are things to take note of:

Part 5: Crafting The Vulture Armor

Players are able to acquire Vulture Feathers from Duna’s Undertaker regardless of the path they’ve chosen. Appeasing Duna’s Undertaker immediately gives them five (5) Blessed Vulture Feathers. Meanwhile, defeating Duna’s Undertaker this way grants them five (5) Cursed Vulture Feathers. If the latter happens, players need to first Bless each Feather before doing anything with them so as to not result in any cursed armor.

After acquiring the set of Blessed Feathers, players can use theDivinity: Original Sin 2Crafting Systemto craft each piece of the Vulture Set by simply combining it with a Leather Armour (or any Finesse-based Armour) of the corresponding body part.
