With a new open world, horse riding mechanics, and plenty more fresh content for fans of theDark Soulsfranchise,Elden Ringhas had players dedicating dozens of hours to the game even as it reaches only two weeks of being available. With multiple classes and build options as well,Elden Ringplayers are finding a great amount of customization available in the game, allowing them to build a different Tarnished to suit their play style. Some skilled players are already finding their way towards the end ofElden Ring, where some seriously powerful weapons can be found. One Reddit user by the name of KillerClownCZ appears to have found one of the most powerful katanas in the game, Hand of Malenia. In a clip they posted to Reddit, they are about to face the Black Knife Assassin boss, when in a strange turn of events for FromSoftware games, it is the player who obliterates the boss in a series of devastating moves, rather than it be the other way around.
Even the most skilled ofElden Ringplayers would struggle to take down a boss as quickly as this katana does. While those who pick theSamurai class inElden Ringget access to a katana from the start of the game, the katana that allows for such incredible damage is only dropped after the Malenia, Blade of Miquella optional boss fight. As KillerClownCZ points out, this boss only appears later in the game, giving players a reward for coming so far inElden Ringwithout completely rage-quitting the game.
Bosses are not the only way in which players can findpowerful weapons inElden Ringthough. As the game’s map is open world, it allows for plenty of exploration and discovery, which leads to players being able to find some interesting and cool early game weapons if they know where to look.
