As time has passed since the release ofElden Ring, more players have come up with optimal strategies to get through certain encounters. However, oneElden Ringfan has shown that the tried and true method of aggression can be used effectively against just about any enemy.
This trick has been embodied by the best FromSoftware players likeLet Me Solo Her, and it is one of a few ways gamers will often approach the game. If players are not aggressive, they will likely be defensive, taking very long with their fights and attacking briefly in between several dodges. While this allows many to get through their fights eventually, this approach does take longer and forces players to dodge more than they attack, which could lead to mistakes. With an aggressive play style, health bars can be drained with ease.

Reddit user andElden Ringplayer Pewgf showcased the benefits of constantly going on the attack, reminding viewers that they are as much of a boss as their enemy and that they should fight like it. Their first demonstration is against Maliketh, and they put on a show to eliminate the boss in minutes. Showing their confidence by playing shirtless, the player dodges attacks and immediately punishesMaliketh, attacking quickly without having their hits broken up in between. Ultimately, the goal is to stagger the boss, which the Redditor succeeds in doing.
Staggering is the biggest benefit of an aggressive build, as it allows players to use their most powerful attacks and restore both their health and FP. As shown in the clip, this approach works on some of the hardest bosses in the game. After mastering dodges and staggers to kill Maliketh, the Redditor then moves toRadagon. Once he has been dealt with, Malenia is beaten down using the exact same combat style, with Morgott rounding out the player’s impressive display.
If gamers are struggling against certainElden Ringbosses, a bit more aggression might just be the solution. To show that this style works with any build, Pewgf used different weapons for each boss they battled, consistently staggering and defeating them no matter what gear they had equipped. As long as players master dodges and can parry with their shield when needed, posture breaks can be chained together for “massive damage.” Unsurprisingly, the helpful post performed well on Reddit, getting over 5,800 upvotes from fans of the game.
While an aggressive playstyle may not be for everyone, and some will surely prefer a moremagic-focused approach toElden Ringthat allows them to keep their distance, this video proves that close quarters fights are worth trying. While it will take some practice to get as good as Pewgf, players could wipe the floor with bosses once they master this style of play.
