Summary
Enshroudedis an action roleplaying game that launched at the start of 2024. With a huge, completely hand-crafted map, it received praise for its attention to detail and long-term playability. With deep, exploration-driven gameplay,Enshroudedoffers the player freedom to adventure in asandbox world, with just enough in the way of signpost quests to loosely guide them through the map.
There are two types of mage weapons inEnshrouded:staffs and wands. Staffs are hard-hitting, two-handed weapons that consume charges as ammo. Wands are one-handed, auto-targeting ranged weapons that require no ammo at all. Playing a mage character is asolid solo build. For mage characters, using a wand frees up the offhand to carry a shield for added defense. Here are some of the best to choose from.

Furthermore, as time has passed, players have learned more about loot tables and loot patterns, finding new items and places to loot them. Therefore, this list has been updated to add some more wands. The higher-tier wands have not changed, what has been added are some mid-game wands, that are easy to loot and can work well until a player can safely access the late-game areas of the map.
11Wand
Basic Wand Available From The Start Of The Game
Why is the wand with the worst stats in the game on a list of the best wands? For one reason:Everyone can craftand use this wand from the very first minutes of a playthrough. New players often struggle in melee combat until they have basic gear. Having this wand on their button bar gives them instant access to a ranged weapon with unlimited ammo.
The 2 bones needed to craft this wand can be lured from the bodies of wolves, which the player can kill that spawn in multiple locations very close to the starting area. It may not be the best wand, but it’s worth a mention because it offers so muchearly-gameutility.
10Apprentice Wand
An Easy To Loot Wand In The Early Game
The Apprentice Wand makes this list primarily because it is one of the few wands available in the early game. It should be simple to loot from POI chests, using the game reload trick to respawn the chest over and over. There are much better wands inEnshrouded, but not until later in the game.
This is also another great wand for melee andtank buildsto carry as a backup ranged weapon. Most players will pick this wand up as loot at some stage in the early to mid-game, as it is a common item.
9Snakespide Wand
A Rare Blunt Damage Wand
Enshroudedplayers can find the Snakespide Wand in its legendary iteration, by looting chests in the Hollow Halls. It can also drop from bosses sometimes. And while the damage stats are quite low, along with overcharge and durability, it does do blunt damage, which is rare for a wand or staff weapon.
Arguably the best way to acquire this wand is to save scum, by finding a golden chest in the Hollow Halls then saving and reloading the game until the Snakespide Wand is found in the loot.
8Shocking Ice Wand
Easy To Aquire Shock And Ice Wand
The Shocking Ice Wand is pretty easy to get hold of forEnshroudedplayers, at least once they have gotten a little way into a playthrough. This is because it can be looted as a legendary weapon from gold chests in three regions of the map; Kindlewastes, Noman Highlands, and Revelwoods.
The wand does two types of damage, shock and ice. The stats are not on par with later entries on this list, but it is a decent enough wand for players who don’t have access to endgame map zones yet.
7Silver Storm
Slightly Better Shock And Ice Wand
The Silver Storm wand is comparable to the previous entry in this list, the Shocking Ice Wand. It has a slightly better overcharge. However, this wand is looted from exactly the same locations as the previous wand, so the best advice would be to keep whichever is looted first, as this wand is only marginally better.
Once again, this wand can be looted from gold chests in the Revelwoods, Nomad Highlands, and Kindlewastes areas of the map. It can also spawn in silver chests, as a non-legendary item.
6Blazing Wand
Great Mid Game Fire Damage Wand
The Blazing Wand is another wand that can be looted in the mid-game stage ofEnshrouded, and it is found in the same places as the last two wands, the Kindlewastes, Revelwoods, and Nomad Highlands maps zones.
With its slightly better overcharge and the beneficial fire damage type, this is a solid mid-game wand that can be used as a main weapon. However, it must be said that the fairly low durability will mean the player will likely want to carry a backup weapon as well, for when this wand breaks.
5Scorching Wand
Mid-Game Static Loot Legendary Wand
The Scorching Wand is likely to be the wand that players will go after mid-game, as it is a static loot item in an easy-to-locate place. It lags behind other legendary wands in the stats department but will last the player until they can loot a better wand later.
Head to theKindlewastesregion, and look for theCity Ruins POI.Within this POI the player will find a flat decked area, with barrels and boxes stacked on it. A golden chest here contains the Scorching Wand.
4Frozen Core Wand
Guaranteed Static Loot Legendary Wand
The Frozen Core Wand is the first legendary item on this list, and it is notable because it is so easy to get. Players who are doing the quest tolocate and free the Alchemist NPCshould consider stopping off to get this wand afterward.
To acquire this wand, go to the obelisk close to the Alchemist’s location. There is a cliff to the north. Jump off it anduse the gliderto glide down to the dirt track below. Follow this track to theScavenger Ruins. Clear all the enemies, then head inside and go downstairs. There are some wooden boards blocking access to a bridge. Destroy these boards, then head across the bridge to loot the Frozen Core Wand from the chest. Once the wand is looted, a slow spike trap triggers on the bridge, so get out quickly.
3Helix
Chest Loot Wand Found In The Kindlewastes Region
The Helix is a powerful legendary wand. With 19% overcharge power, it does excellent levels of damage. Once fully upgraded, it will do an additional 45 Shroud Magic damage. This weapon is not only great for mages but is also arguably the best backup wand weapon for all players, regardless of their specialization.
Unfortunately, the Helix wand can only be looted from golden chests in theKindlewastesregion of the map. This means it will take some time and effort to loot, even using the game reload trick to respawn chests. Make sure to take plenty of lockpicks when going after this wand.
2Luminous Wand
A Good Wand Looted From Several Zones
The Luminous Wand is another contender for the best wand inEnshrouded. As should now be apparent, there is not a huge amount of variation in weapons in this game. What really shapes weapons inEnshroudedis how the player upgrades them.
Players can loot the Luminous Wand from golden chests in quite a few areas. It has been found in theNomad Highlands,theKindlewastes, and inside the Alchemist’s towersouth of Revelwood. Players can loot it using the load/respawn trick, but it may take some time, depending on the luck of the draw when the chests respawn.
