As many longtime users know, Epic Games tends to give away two weeks or so worth of games every year for the holiday season. To do so, it foregoes its typical Thursday-to-Thursday release schedule and instead gives away a mystery game every day. It doesn’t confirm the next game, as it typically does, but it doesn’t abandon all of its patterns. Fans can still find these games, just every day, at 10 am CT on theEpic Games Store.

The latest game isFallout 3, but not just the base game; it’s theFallout 3Game of the Year Edition. It includesallFallout 3DLC packs: Operation: Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel, Point Lookout, and Mothership Zeta. This means the Epic Games Store is giving fans a way to check out apost-apocalyptic Washington, D.C., but also Anchorage, Alaska; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Point Lookout State Park along the Chesapeake Bay, in Maryland; and outer space.

With so much content to check out,Fallout 3makes for a great Christmas gift whether that’s for a first playthrough or a replay. It’s a Bethesda classic for a reason; fans will just want to make sure they boot the launcher and claim it before 10 am CT on December 24.

For now, the Epic Games Store mystery game for December 24 remains just that, a mystery. Sometimes the wrapping paper can serve as a hint, but it can be very hard to decode. The wrapping paper forFallout 3, in hindsight, had an atomic green coloring to it, but the wrapping paper for December 24 is covered in pink, purple, stars, and spaceship-styled ornaments. Perhaps it’ll be asci-fi game, but fans will just have to wait and see.
