With over 40 minutes of new reveals, sneak peeks, and updates, this latest Nintendo Direct may be the best this year - especially forFire Emblemfans. WhileThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis the clear standout of the presentation, fans had plenty of other reveals to chew on, such as the announcement of a newStory of Seasons,Octopath Traveler 2, and of course,Fire Emblem: Engage, which is getting a pretty packed collector’s edition.
Releasing surprisingly soon, as the game is scheduled to debut in January of next year,Fire Emblem: Engagecontinues the mainlineFire Emblemseries, which hasn’t had a new entry since2019’sFire Emblem: Three Houses. This new title sees the player assume the role of a “Divine Dragon,” capable of summoning the spirits of previous iconicFire Emblemprotagonists like Marth. Alongside the trailer, the game’s Divine Edition was announced, which gives fans a host of physical collectible goodies on top of the base game.

Everything Included in the Fire Emblem: Engage - Divine Edition
ForFire Emblemfans, theFire Emblem: Engage - Divine Editionis an absolute must-buy. Along with the physical copy of the game, in its standard Nintendo Switch box, theDivine Editionalso comes with a sleek steelbook case. The design on the steelbook itself is nothing overly unique, with it essentially being just an expanded version of the standard box art, but that art is fantastic and suits the look of a steelbook nicely.
Fire Emblem: Engage - Divine Editionalso comes packed with a slew of other physical goodies. Fans can expect to find a miniature art book inside theDivine Edition, packed to the brim with fully-colored character designs and concept art from the game. A set of art cards, each depicting an individual character fromFire Emblem: Engageis also included in this collector’s edition, as is a poster featuring the cast, washed in the game’s distinctive red and blue color scheme that seems to be prominent throughout the game’s marketing and design, whether that be in the protagonist’s hair or on the box art.
While theFire Emblem: Engage - Divine Editiondoesn’t offer anything collectors haven’t seen before, with art books, posters, and art cards being a standard forbig AAA Nintendo releases, it offers some neat little collectibles for fans of the franchise. Right now, it’s unclear just how much thisDivine Editionwill cost, or when pre-orders will go live. It’s also unconfirmed exactly where fans will be able to pick up the collector’s edition.
While fans will certainly be able to grab theDivine Editionfrom the official Nintendo Store, they might want to hold off on that for now, asXenoblade Chronicles 3’s collector’s edition had some infamous issues with pre-ordering, with some buyers not receiving their copy for a few days after the game’s release. Instead, fans might want to wait to see ifFire Emblem: Engage - Divine Editionis sold via other retailers, such as GameStop or Best Buy, as they might end up being slightly more reliable. WithFire Emblem: Engagecoming out so soon, as it is slated for a Jul 18, 2025 release date, it shouldn’t take too long for Nintendo to announce whether theDivine Editionwill be a Nintendo Store exclusive, giving fans plenty of time to make their decision.
Fire Emblem Engageis coming to the Nintendo Switch on July 16, 2025.
