Fallout 76takes players to the mountains of Appalachia, a beautiful and scenic area within the United States. Like all Fallout games, this game has its own enemies, storyline, and unique features that set it apart from the others.
One type of enemy found within Appalachia is the Gulper. These enemies seem to be giant mutated versions of the salamander, and there are quite a few areas in Appalachia that are home to these interesting creatures. Here’s how to find them.

What Are Gulpers?
As mentioned above, Gulpers are the mutated forms of salamanders that once roamed Appalachia. They are found inThe Mire and Cranberry Bogregions of the game (which are also home tosome of the Cryptids in the game) and are usually either in the trees or hiding underwater. Here are all the variants of Gulpers:
Any of these variants can be the ones that players run into throughout the game, and they are able to drop the “Plan: Puncturing Pole Hook” if the player already knows the first Plan for this weapon.

Best Gulper Locations
Gulper Lagoonis the best place to find these enemies. It is a location within The Mire that is home to a decent-sized population of the enemy and is the perfect hunting ground for anyone wanting to kill a few. This is a pretty interesting area that is usually home to around four Gulpers at a time. The location can be seen above. It is west of the Thunder Mountain Power Plant and east of the Hopewell Cave in The Mire.
While Gulper Lagoon is the best place to find these enemies, it certainly isn’t the only place. They have a chance to spawn; in fact, they have the chance to spawn when players are fighting Super Mutants, The Scorched, or Mirelurks. Here are other locations where they can be found:

Players are also able to find these enemies during certain Events such as theMoonshine Jamboree, Project Paradise, or the Spin the Wheel Events, all of which will spawn plenty of these enemies to attack. (Unfortunately, these Events certainly aren’t the best ones, but they are fun to do.) The best places to find these creatures are within The Mire and Cranberry Bog, so be sure to be on the lookout while exploring those areas. Remember, always check trees and bodies of water for these creatures while out exploring Appalachia.
