Unlocking the Ruby Weapon Cinder Drift trial takes less than an hour for players who are up to date with the MSQ. Here’s how to get it done.

How to Unlock the Ruby Weapon Boss Fight in FF14

The new Ruby Weapon boss fight is a new threat from the Garlean Empire, and players must have aMagic Job or a Disciple of War at level 50, at least, and the item level needs to be at 455. On top of that, players must have completed all the MSQs up to the new Patch 5.2.

Final Fantasy Hardest Bosses Ruby Weapon

AfterFinal Fantasy 14players clear the first mission in patch 5.2, they will be able to accept a new mission that allows them to face-off against Ruby Weapon. All they have to do is head over to the Ala Mhigan Quarter location in the Lochs and talk to the NPC standing outside the main hall. This NPC will give players a new quest titled Ruby Doomsday.

Just follow the objective markers and players will unlock the Cinder Drift in their Duty Finder, which will allow them to take on theRuby Weapon boss in patch 5.2. Players will need to defeat the boss at least once to unlock the Extreme version called the Cinder Drift EX.

How to Unlock the Cinder Drift EX

Cinder Drift EX is the Extreme version of the Ruby Weapon boss fight, and it’s quite difficult. Also, the minimum item level for the EX version is 470, which means those who were at 450 for theregular Ruby Weapon boss fightwill have to grind for a while to increase their item level. Once players hit the required item level, they can go to Warmachine Fanatic in Lochs to unlock the quest in the Duty Finder. The rewards are great, but the boss fight is also extremely difficult, so players need to be very careful when they face the boss again as it won’t be as easy as the first run.
