Via translations of theFinal Fantasy 7 RebirthUltimania posted by Aitai Japan CEO Audrey Lamsam, Kitase said that he hoped not to sacrifice quality for the sake of time, and hoped to continue the efficient production schedule thatFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthhad. However, Kitase noted thatFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthwas launched four years afterFF7 Remakebecause one of those years was dedicated to the latter’sIntermissionDLC. AssumingPart 3 ofFinal Fantasy 7 Remakereleases three years afterFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth, it would be out in 2027 and coincide with the 30th anniversary of the originalFinal Fantasy 7.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Could Release in Less Than Four Years

Although Square Enix previously stated that there are no plans for implementingFinal Fantasy 7 RebirthDLC, this could be a silver lining for fans. Creative director Tetsuya Nomura said that the main story script for Part 3 was completed, and that voice recordings could begin imminently. Nomura also remarked on someideas proposed for Part 3 of theFinal Fantasy 7 Remakesagaby Kitase but did not elaborate further.

Though the game has no plans for DLC,Final Fantasy 7 Rebirthcontinues to receive updatesto fix some lingering issues. Only time will tell when the anticipated third chapter of theFinal Fantasy 7 Remakesaga will see the light of day.
