This Friday,Fortniteplayers will get to experience k-pop superstar BTS' never-before-seen choreography music video of its latest hit single, “Dynamite,” in Party Royale mode.
Party Royale isFortnite’s violence-free, party-only mode, removing the biggest element of the game: weapons. The main idea is for players to mess around and have fun without lethal competition and sometimes, real musical artists will perform in-game. It launched on May 8th with a party featuring the music of Steve Aoki and Deadmau5, and since,Fortnitehas also seen other big names in EDM on its main stage such as Marshmello and Diplo.

Earlier this summer,Fortniteannounced its Party Royale concert seriesand told fans to look out for artists performing during the month of September. Though it’s not a performance per se, it would seem that world-wide Korean music artist BTS is one of those in the spotlight, taking place on September 25th. An ode to the disco era, BTS' English-only single broke YouTube’s record for most views in 24 hours and proved as a successful comeback number that the group has performed on several stages already, including the VMAs andAmerica’s Got Talent.
For those who want to experience the premiere of the “Dynamite” Choreography MV should arrive atParty Royale’s Main Stageby 8PM Eastern Time on September 25th, but if avid BTS fans can’t make it on Friday night,Fortnitewill be hosting a rebroadcast of the MV on Saturday, September 26th at 8AM Eastern Time. After the premiere, fans can expect to hear the official “Dynamite” Tropical Remix, and to break out some new dance moves with the funky number, players will be able to purchase new emotes choreographed by BTS starting September 23rd at 8PM ET.
Though the “Dynamite” music video already premiered last month, immediately soaring to over 100 million views on YouTube, it’s common for k-pop artists to release a Choreography Music Video following a major hit. And this time, BTS has chosen to team up with Epic Games, which previously stated it was looking to partner with talented artists interested in finding new and creative ways to reach fans. Unfortunately for Apple players, however, the BTS music video will not be available on Apple devices since the tech giantkicked Epic Games off the App Store.
ButFortnite’s Party Royale has been used for more than just performances. In the past,Fortnitehas teamed up with theDiscovery Channel to host a Shark Week eventlast month, and earlier this year We The People took its panel to the battle royale game to discuss important political topics pertaining to the upcoming United States Election.
