Fortnitehas removed many of its mobility options this season, but that’s not necessarily bad. Even though there are a lot of new features to keep gamers entertained in Chapter 4 Season 3, many were disappointed when they tried out their first game and noticed the lack of mobility items available. To get around quickly,Fortniteplayers now have to resort to cars and bikes, but unfortunately, that’s not as practical as a mobility item that they could simply put in their inventory and use whenever and wherever they pleased.

Last season, there were tons of mobility options for players to choose from. There was the Kinetic Blade, which could be used to jump from one place to another extremely fast. Players could alsochoose between Eren Jaeger’s ODM Gear and the Spider-Verse Web-Shooters, both of which were extremely similar and easy to acquire. One could say that there were too many mobility items just a few weeks ago, and now there are barely any options available.

Many gamers were upset when they realized that some of theirfavorite items had been removed fromFortnite, but not everyone felt the same way. Some players on the FortniteBR subreddit voiced their opinions on how fewer mobility items could be a good thing for the battle royale. Those that shared this view pointed out how great it felt to be able to take down an opponent without them simply running away when they noticed their health was low. When these items were made unavailable, fleeing opponents stopped being rewarded for attempting to escape an encounter.

On top of this, players are now being forced to be more cautious with their landing locations, so if they prefer to land at the edge of the map, they’ll get access to more loot and fewer encounters, but it’s likely that they’ll have to run away from the storm in a hurry. Players argue that this should be a high-risk, high-reward situation. And, that’s not the only aspect that matters here, ever since Chapter 1 Season 1, theStorm Circle has been an important aspect ofFortnite, and having an easy way to escape the storm at any point in the game makes it irrelevant.

Recent leaks suggest that soon amobility item will make its return toFortnite. Players that prefer the game without these gimmicks should enjoy it while it lasts, as the next content update might just bring them back.
