Foxholeis a strategy war game thatexpects players to work cooperativelyin order to pursue the enemy team across a persistent online war. Players work together with their teammates to set up bases, collect intel and work logistics to supply for other troops as well as protecting their own land.

This means that many players are expected to set up their own structures such as bases to get the better hand of their opponents across the map, while also making secure locations for teammates to fall back to. These are the structures players should consider building first if they hope to survive during this digital battle.

10Large Assembly Factory

Although it costs 250 construction materials to build, it is important to have a large assembly factory set up so that players can start constructinglarge vehicles that can help transportmaterials between bases.

Players that dedicate themselves to logistics and making sure that their teammates are well-stocked will constantly need materials to help build other buildings. While being able to build these transport vehicles as well as the cars that can be attached to them can really help the war effort from behind the scenes.

9Anti-Tank Pillbox

Players already have enough to do in Foxhole without needing to defend every area around, that’s why automated defensive buildings are essential to build around vital bases that players are hoping to keep out of enemy hands. One vital structure like this to build is the Anti-Tank Pillbox.

This pillbox targets enemy vehicles that come close, firing 20 mm rounds at them in a hope to destroy that machine. Costing only 85 basic materials to craft, players can easily build a few of these around a base tokeep the opposing faction at bay.

8Watch Tower

Watch Towers are another cheap structure that is vital for players to build, especially throughout the owned land of their own faction. This tower that only costs 60 basic material to construct is used to get most of the map intel that many players rely on when fighting.

Due to the cheap nature of building them, they are also incredibly easy to damage, and therefore construction players are more likely to be called upon to repair these buildings or in some extremes construct new ones elsewhere.

7Rifle Pillbox

Another automateddefensive building, the Rifle Pillbox may not be able to take on vehicles, but it can still be useful when defending against the onslaught of foot soldiers that is also likely to happen.

Players can also get inside the pillbox if they wish to manually fire alongside the AI though it is incredibly dangerous to be inside. It may be immune to small arms but assaulting it with a heavy machine gun will easily destroy the structure. Thankfully it only costs 60 basic materials to craft compared to the 85 of the Anti-Tank Pillbox.

6Ammunition Factory

As to be expected ammunition is incredibly important to all soldiers be them actual players or the AI. A player will want to set up several ammunition factories quickly if they hope to supply their entire faction with the rounds they need.

These buildings can be upgraded with more materials to unlock other advanced ammo types that may be required for the better weaponry needed to push back enemy forces. However, it does require 25 processed construction materials meaning more work needs to be put in to build this factory.

5Field Hospital

While Hospitals can’t be built and therefore must be found in cities, Field Hospitals can be constructed while out on the battlefield in dire cases of emergency, even if it requires 200 basic materials to place down.

While this won’t be exactly one of the first things a player places down, this doesn’t deny them from being influential. In many cases, when a team goes out on the offensive afield hospitalmay be put down at a small base to turn critically wounded soldiers into well-working units.

4Encampment

An encampment is not only vital for being needed so that the automated defensive can use their AI but also due to its offensive purposes as a forward camp. Commonly players will respawn at these encampments if they hope to take on enemies on the front lines, as many of these locations are used as bases of operations for such things.

However, this is another structure that can be easily destroyed from explosive or heavy machine gun fire and that is why many players will also construct defensive units around this tent to protect their teammates.

3Bunker Base

Players will first need to dig out a Bunker using a shovel before they can upgrade it into a Bunker Base costing 300 basic materials.Bunker bases are vitalfor unlocking further upgrades that will better assist the player’s faction.

Bunkers help connect buildings together such as unlocking a Provisional Garrison once the Bunker Base has been built, so the bunker is connected to nearby defensive structures, so they can be used. A player could even unlock a Small Garrison to prevent decay of other structures as gradually buildings will start to rust over use.

2Trench Emplacement

A Trench Emplacement is a vital structure that is used as the base building block for many trench defenses. Unlike other buildings this structure does not demand a player to have any materials on them other than a shovel and therefore any player from the start should be able to dig out a Trench Emplacement.

This then allows players to build player manned defenses inside trenches giving them added protection instead of simply placing them above ground, these defenses include guns such as Thunderbolt cannon or Ruptura.

1Trench

By far one of the most simple yet effective structures' player swill build or dig that is vital to not only themselves but also their teammates is a Trench. A well dug trench helps especially in offensive settings where players will need to dig into the ground beneath them for cover especially on open battlefields.

Trenches are commonly neutral ground so if infiltrating a faction’s trench all things inside can also be used by the player. These trenches can also be upgraded further by using materials making them not only stronger but alsoopening other building optionsinside.
