MultipleGenshin Impactleaks have revealed the characters and weapons that will arrive in the upcoming 2.5 update which according to miHoYo’s update schedule should arrive around February 15.
One five-star has already been confirmed by theGenshin Impact’s official social media accounts and her name is Yae Miko. The official art for the character confirms that she will be a brand-new Electro catalyst user.

Developer miHoYo has introduced an interesting pattern of revealing new characters weeks before their arrive, most likely because they would get leaked either way once the update’s beta arrives. A recent tweet by a credibleGenshin Impactleaker named SaveYourPrimos has apparently revealed the upcoming five-star characters that will arrive in the two banner cycles. Apparently, unlike the current update which has brought Shenhe, Zhongli, Xiao, and Ganyu as the limited banner characters,Genshin ImpactVersion 2.5 will feature only three five-stars: Raiden Shogun, Kokomi, and thepreviously announced Yae Miko.
Since her appearance in multipleGenshin Impactquests, as well as two update previews, Yae Miko has become a fan-favorite and one of the most awaited characters to join the playable roster. The fact that her ascension stat is Crit rate means that she will most likely be a DPS character in the game which is unusual for a Catalyst user. She is also confirmed to be a new Electro Vision holder. Her elemental skill will allow her to move rapidly, leaving behind “Lethal Sakura” which periodically deals damage to one nearby enemy. This means that she could also havestrong sub-DPS capabilities.
Raiden Shogun is considered by many to be overall the bestGenshin Impactcharacters in the game. Her biggest draw is probably that she is probably the most free-to-play friendly five-star character inGenshin Impactsince she’s top-tier support even at zero constellations. Most five-stars are required to be pulled numerous times tobuild up their constellationsin order to awake their full potential, like Xiao or Childe. Luckily that is not the case with Raiden Shogun since the difference between C0 and C6 is not as big for her, as for most other characters.
Sangonomiya Kokomi is a Hydro Catalyst character with excellent healing skills and respectable elemental damage output, She would make an excellent addition to any party, and many players online have noted she could be of great value in the upper levels of the current Spiral Abyss.
Genshin Impactis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
