AGenshin Impactchart shows the first-day banner sales for the current double banner that features the Hydro bow character Yelan and the Pyro polearm user Hu Tao. These characters are currently available on the Limited Character Banner which is scheduled to expire at the end of the month which means that players have enough time to gather some additional Primogems and add them to their roster.
Both of theseGenshin Impactcharacters are considered S-tier units in their respective positions. This banner also includes a decent four-star lineup that includes Xingqiu, Ningguang, and Beidou. As usual, the Weapon Banner includes the two signature five-star weapons for Yelan and Hu Tao.

Reddit user TimocaSamJa has shared a chart showing the first-day revenue numbers for theongoing Yelan and Hu Tao double bannerthat arrived a couple of days ago. According to the post, the banner managed to take the 9th spot with almost $8 million in sales on its first day, but it should be noted that the chart only represents iOS devices from the Chinese servers which means that the actual numbers are even higher. Even though the banner did not feature any new characters, many fans claim that they are not surprised by its success since it featured two very strong limited five-star characters, Yelan and Hu Tao.
Despite being able to dish out tons of damage, Yelan’s best role is still sub-DPS as her kit has great off-field potential. With the release of the new Dendro element, Hydro has become one of, if not the strongest element in the game as it has the potential to interact with almost every other element. Yelan is a very flexible character who can fit manyteam compositions inGenshin Impactthat need a strong off-field Hydro DPS.
The 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, Hu Tao, is still anS-tier DPS character inGenshin Impact, even though she was released back in early 2021. Her kit offers a very specific playstyle in which players need to constantly keep track of Hu Tao’s HP bar in order to fulfill her damage potential.
Many fans were excited about Hu Tao’s return since her last banner appearance was back in update 2.2 which dropped in November 2021. Yelan and Hu Tao have great synergy as they can trigger Vaporize, which is one of thebest elemental reactions inGenshin Impact.
