Recent leaks have revealed more details about the appearance of one ofGenshin Impact’s newest upcoming characters, an Electro user confirmed to be from Inazuma. While the Sumeru region has been the focus for most ofGenshin Impact’s updates since its introduction, recent patches have seen older regions receive multiple new characters. Version 3.5 brought Mondstadt’s Mika with Version 3.6 confirmed to seethe long-awaited arrival of Liyue’s Baizhuas a playable character. Now, the Japan-inspired Inazuma is reportedly receiving its own new character soon.Rumors have swirled throughout recent weeks about multiple new characters hailing from Inazuma planned to be added toGenshin Impact. The rumored Kirara recently saw more information leak about her release, confirmed to be a Dendro Sword user after being previously hinted as a new Geo character. A leak which surfaced last week also teased a new four-star female Electro character from Inazuma that is reportedly in development from HoYoverse. She is claimed to bear a “cold and elegant” demeanor with a hairpiece in the shape of three bachis, the strumming instrument for a shamisen. The new character dons a kimono with a pattern based on the viola tricolor with silk socks that are reportedly similar in appearance to Keqing’s “Opulent Splendor” skin. The currently unnamed Electro character is reportedly set to debut in Version 3.8.
The mystery Inazuma character is just one of several characters to be revealed early fromGenshin Impact’s coming updates, as far out as the Fontaine update and beyond.Mondstadt’s Varka is reportedly plannedto appear in Version 3.8 after being mentioned several times throughout the game’s story.Genshin Impacthas also seen several other named characters from Fontaine appearing in recent leaks, including “Captain R” and “Wriothesley” among others. The Version 4.0 update introducing the Fontaine region to the game is currently expected to arrive sometime during late Summer 2023.
Along with the multitude of new characters,Genshin Impactwill also reportedly see several popular characters return to the limited banner. Leaks have suggested that the upcoming Version 3.6 will seeNilou, Nahida, and Ganyufeature on the game’s limited banner during the next update. Leaks from further intoGenshin Impact’s future have also revealed Eula’s long-awaited re-run may finally be coming as a part of Version 3.8.Genshin Impact’s roster is set to grow substantially as the RPG approaches its newest region.
