Genshin Impactplayers want several buffs to the Traveler and new customization options since official lore implies that the protagonist is getting substantially stronger with each element gained. Although the Traveler is able to switch through various elements, the Traveler’s base stats and customization features have not received major adjustments or changes since launch. Additionally, players must head to a Statue of the Seven to switch the Traveler’s element since an element-switching option is not present in the pause menu. Reddit user Minette21 believes the Traveler should be able to use multiple elements in gameplay sinceGenshin Impact’smain story cutscenes imply that the character is able to switch elements seamlessly.

Genshin Impactcharacters Lisa and Ayaka received new costumesearlier this year, but the Traveler has yet to receive a new costume. Minette21 and fellowGenshin Impactplayers want hair and attire customization features for the Traveler since these new options would allow them to personalize the main character as they see fit. Reddit user NS401 suggests HoYoverse should introduce new Traveler outfits for each region players have explored thus far. However, many players believe the Traveler won’t receive buffs or outfits since the development team’s priority appears to be placed on all-new characters.

Buffs and customization options for the Traveler may encourage moreGenshin Impactplayers to use the protagonist in events and end-game activities, includingthe weekly Spiral Abyss domain. An element-switching option in the pause menu may also be beneficial forGenshin Impactsince it would reduce the need for players to revisit Statues of the Seven in faraway regions.

Genshin Impactversion 4.0will expand the world of Teyvat even further as players travel to Fontaine for the first time. Players will meet new characters and Fatui Harbingers in the main story, and HoYoverse will likely host a special program in the near future to reveal more new details.
