Many alleged hints towardsGrand Theft Auto 6come from Rockstar’s most recent but decidedlycontroversial franchise projectGrand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. One of the most interesting of the many hints within this remastered trilogy can be found within the title’s version ofSan Andreas, more specifically within the alien-themed diner The Probe Inn.
In the original version ofSan Andreas, the interior of this location was heavily decorated with images of UFO sightings, but fans were quick to point out that Rockstar had changed these particular images in the remastered version of the game. In the Definitive Edition, most of the pictures within The Probe Inn consist of locations that featured in otherRockstar titles such asRed Dead Redemption 2or evenGrand Theft Auto 5, but there was one picture that cannot be traced back to a previous Rockstar game.
The picture in question simply consists of a white bungalow-style house with palm trees, with many fans believing that this is one of the first released images ofGTA 6. This assumption comes from the untraceable origin of the photo, as well as the similarities the house and environment within the photo shares with Florida, with it being all but confirmed thatGTA 6will take place in a fictionalized version of this area of the USA.
Grand Theft Auto 5’s Official Credits
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Rockstar recently released the fullofficial credits forGrand Theft Auto 5, marking the end of nearly a decade of consistent and successful post-launch development for the title. While this is more of an overt acknowledgment ofGTA 6, many fans considered the quote to be a hint at the scale and ambition that the title will possess, with Rockstar having to fully turn its attention away from other lucrative projects to achieve its vision.
Rockstar’s Happy Holidays Message
Rockstar recently sent out a happy holidays messageon its official Twitter account, with a vibrant backdrop and lots of intricate signage that fans eagerly scoured and analyzed. Eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out that one of the stylized helicopters on the holiday message was not from the Los Santos area ofGTA 5, but actually harks back to an older setting.
The type of helicopter shown on the image actually belongs to the Vice City Police Department, which was of course the eponymous location ofGTA: Vice City. Through therecent high-profile leaks forGTA 6, it is now known that Vice City will once again be the primary setting of the franchise, with many fans subsequently going on to believe that the inclusion of this particular helicopter in the message is a direct nod from Rockstar as to the setting of the upcoming sequel.
