Halo Infiniteis currently in the middle of its first multiplayer season,Heroes of Reach, featuring many armor pieces and cosmetics inspired byHalo Reach. While not every customization option from the game made its way intoHalo Infinite, it appears that moreReachitems may arrive in Season 2, including the fan-favorite Mark 5 and CQB helmets.
For manyHaloplayers, thecustomization present inHalo Reachsits at the top of the series with no game quite reaching that same level of polish since. The game introduced a more realistic and gritty art style that gave a new level of depth to the Spartans than seen in prior games, while also offering new areas of customization like helmet attachments, arm pieces, and armor effects. While the customization ofHalo Infiniteis arguably the closest the franchise has been toHalo Reach, bringing back that game’s art style and level of customization, it unfortunately is also very restrictive. Players want to mix and match armor components, butHalo Infinite’s Armor Core system prevents that.

It appears that the Mark 5 and CQB helmets are still on their way toHalo Infinite, though it may not be until Season 2 of the multiplayer. The leak comes from reputableHalo Infiniteleaker, HaloNoticiasMX, on Twitter who shares an image assembling six of the items coming in Season 2, including the two helmets. Mark 5 is one of Halo’s most recognizable helmets, it being the gear that Master Chief wore inHalo: Combat Evolved;the CQB helmet made its debut inHalo 3’s multiplayer and became an iconic piece of armor worn by many players throughout the years. These helmets will likely only be equippable on the Mark 5 Armor Core, but theMark 7 Armor Core is getting the Mark 5 Zeta helmet.
As mentioned, HaloNoticiasMX leaks four other Season 2 cosmetics in their post, including two new Visors, an Armor Effect, and a Kill Effect. The bright white Visor, Alabaster, and the fluorescent red Visor, Terminator, are very striking, offering minimal reflectiveness in favor of a solid, intimidating glare. Perhaps equally as imposing (if not more so) is the Judgment Wings Armor Effect, which like the Judgment Mantle and Helm Armor Effects, adorns the player in flames though this time in the shape of wings protruding of their Spartan’s back. Lastly, there is the Party Favor Kill Effect, harkening back to theGrunt Birthday Party effect fromHalo Reach, where deaths are met with confetti and cheers.
Unfortunately for fans who wanted to deck out their Mark 5 Spartans in these classic helmets, it looks like they will have to wait a bit longer. As it stands, there has been no further information regarding Halo Infinite Season 2, though as players appraoch Season 1’s end in May, 343 Industries will likely have more information to share. On the bright side, at least players won’t have tospend heinous amounts of money inHalo Infiniteto get these coveted cosmetics.
