There’s little known about how the game will look, but in a press release from Natsume obtained by Gematsu, we know thatHarvest Moon: One Worldwill give players an entire world to explore as opposed to the classic formula of a single town and the surrounding area. In this game’s world, common crops like tomatoes and corn don’t exist, and players will have to explore the world to bring them back. From the beaches of Halo Halo to the snowy peaks of Salmaikki, players can expect a wide variety of areas to visit in their quest to bring produce of all types back to the world.

Many long-timeHarvest Moonfans will be quick to remind players that this entry isn’t part of the originalHarvest Moonseries. Originally starting in 1996 for the SNES,Harvest Moonwas created by the company Marvelous and published by Natsume, and this creator/distributor relationship continued until 2014. Around then, Marvelous announced that they would have their subsidary XSeed Games handle North American distribution. However, Natsume kept the rights to theHarvest Moonname, requiring Marvelous to rebrand their series asStory of Seasons. Players looking to experience that series can try outFriends of Mineral Townwhen it releases July 14th.
