After four years of being a PlayStation exclusive,Marvel’s Spider-Manis no longer restricted to the console. WithSpider-Man Remasterednow on PC, this opened the floodgates for many players to try modding the game. This PC port saw mods from several creators adding in various suits for Spider-Man, many being based on different versions of the character over the years, with one modder even adding theSpider-Man from Neversoft’s PS1 titleinto this game. While new suits are to be expected, several new characters have also been modded to replace Spider-Man.
There have been so many mods that have replaced the webhead with some fitting and not-so-fitting choices. There are no limits to these mods, including ones thatreplaced Spider-Man with Daredevil, CJ fromGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and more. One of the most hilarious choices however is from TangoTeds, who has replaced the web-slinger with the most iconic Muppet of all time, Kermit the Frog.

In thisSpider-Manmod, Kermit replaces the game’s default costume, the Advanced Suit. Meaning as soon as the game boots up, players can start kicking around bad guys as the mean green frog. This gives the ridiculous but ultimately hilarious sight of Kermit using Spider-Man’s powers to zip around New York, throw manhole covers at enemies, and even engage in some martial arts to stop crime. This mod can be downloaded off of NexusMods, and only needs theSpider-ManPC Modding Tool to install it.
There’s always something funny about seeingKermit the Frog being playable in a gamewhere he is an ill-fitting addition, and TangoTeds' mod continues that trend. His Twitter account shows off various gameplay clips of the mod in action, which completely take out any tension of the original scenes due to Kermit just being there. A separate gameplay video from voice actor Devil Artemis, whose YouTube videos frequently involve parodies with Kermit the Frog, sees Kermit singing “Sunflower” by Post Malone while swinging through NYC, a song Miles Morales sings inInto the Spiderverse.
However, TangoTeds isn’t limited to just ironic mods to the game. His Twitter and NexusMods account show a variety of cool suit mods, such as one where headded the suit fromThe Amazing Spider-Man 2into the game. Another tweet shows off a mod pack where Spidey is wearing different versions of the Venom Symbiote suit, as well as one based on Otto Octavius' run as the Superior Spider-Man.
