Summary

Bethesda games are known for their random elements that may happen during games and oneStarfieldplayer shows off a NPC interrupting the player during an intense space battle. As a massive and sprawling Sci-Fi RPG,Starfieldseemingly has endless ways for the player to interact with its universe. In addition to a main storyline and plenty of side missions and content to work through,Starfieldplayers are able to explore and visit over a thousand planetsmany of which featuring randomize content.

With so much content in the game, there are more than enough opportunities for things to go a bit off the rails, both from the player’s choices to some bugs that have slipped past the development team. Players have recently been posting videos of some of these experiences online, with many highlightingbizarre interractions they’ve been having with variousStarfieldNPCslike one character suddenly appearing in the shot as the player is speaking to another character. In a similar vein, another player recently had an issue with a companion who decided to interrupt the player at the worst possible moment.

The user named will-powers on theStarfieldsubReddit posted a clip of themselves doing battle with another ship in space. The intense dogfight showed off both ships dodging and weaving in space, and with will-powers bearing down on the Spacer ship, suddenly their companion Sarah Morgan suddenly appears from the left, casually walks across the screen through the targeting reticle and through to the other side like nothing important was going on at that particular moment.

Apparently, this isn’t the first random interaction players have had during space battles as another user in the thread mentioned that they were in the middle of a dog fight with three spacer ships and one of themanyStarfieldcompanionsnamed Cora randomly started reciting a Haiku poem to her father over the intercom system. Another user named Xanthar26 admitted that the game can be dumb at times, but said that they loved that feature about it. Another replied saying it was all part of the “Bethesda Charm.”

While these accidental moments are always good for a bit of comedy, there are times whenStarfieldplayers cause a bit of unintentional chaosas well. While preparing for what they thought would be a big boss fight at the end of a level, a player tosses a grenade at a group of individuals believed to be enemies, only for the game to enter a dialogue cutscene with them. Unfortunately, the grenade had already been thrown and detonated an explosive barrel behind the NPC characters, ending the conversation early, and kicking off a big firefight instead.

Starfieldis available now for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
