Avalanche Software finally releases a new gameplay showcase forHarry Potter: Hogwarts Legacythat is nearly an hour long and shows off features in the game like the character creation and also gives some insight into the world of Hogwarts. Fans have been looking forward toHogwarts Legacyfor a long time and are likely to be excited to see some new gameplay footage and get a better idea of what Hogwarts is going to look like in the game.
AsHogwarts Legacyclimbs to the top of the Steam Wishlist chart, it is clear thatHarry Potterfans and gamers are coming together to create a super-community that can’t wait to get its hands on this open-world action RPG. Fans that have been paying attention to news about the game are already excited about its open-world format and the prospect of getting to explore not just Hogwarts castle and its grounds, but even the Forbidden Forest and Hogsmeade Village.

The gameplay showcase starts with a look at the character creation tool in the game, which will allow players to create their ownHogwarts Legacyprotagonist. The character creation is robust and features many options for players to experiment with, allowing for people to truly immerse themselves into the world of Hogwarts by creating a likeness of themselves as their playable character. Then, the showcase moves on to show off a few of the settings in Hogwarts, which is when the game director takes an opportunity to talk about the game’s UI and Field Guide Challenges as well. They drop hints about how windows change with the different seasonal changes happening in the world and other such gameplay elements as they explore the Castle courtyards and grounds as well.
Hogwarts Legacy’s different RPG elementsare also shown off and players will be excited to run into random events and interact with various characters and make certain choices to achieve different results in the game’s narrative. Though not every feature from theHarry Potterseries will be playable elements, like Wizards Chess or Gobstones, there will still be many activities for players to engage with during their playthrough.
The next element that the developers discuss is combat, and they showcase the spell wheel on the HUD in the bottom right corner and how players will be able to access over 20 spells very quickly and easily using this system.
