“Venomous Valour” is one of the many side quests that players can complete inHogwarts Legacy. It becomes available during the early stages of the game after players have completedProfessor Hecat’s first Assignmentand learned the Incendio spell. Assuming players are at least Level 5, they’ll then be able to start the side quest by speaking with a Ravenclaw student named Duncan Hobhouse.

Duncan can be found in the Astronomy Wing of the Defence Against the Dark Arts tower. He’ll askHogwarts Legacyplayers to find and enter the Hidden Herbology Corridor and come back bearing proof so that he can show everybody that he’s braver than they think. Unfortunately, finding the corridor is only half the battle, as players will have to overcome a particularly deadly plant once they do.
How to Find the Hidden Herbology Corridor in Hogwarts Legacy
The entrance to the Hidden Herbology Corridor can be found onthe grounds of Hogwartsto the northwest of the castle. If players head to the quest marker, they’ll arrive at some bee hives. The entrance is actually below this area though, so players should look for the nearby steps and then make their way down. Once there, they’ll need to cast Incendio to burn away the vines blocking the entrance, which will grant them access to the hidden corridor.
How to Find Proof for Duncan
Once inside the corridor, players will find that it’s infested with Devil’s Snare. Fans of theHarry Potterbooks and movies will know that this deadly plant can’t stand light or flames, so players shouldlight all of the torches with Incendioto drive the vines back. That said, it is actually possible to just walk through the Devil’s Snare providing players don’t stand still for too long. There are a few chests to grab on the way to the quest marker if players don’t mind taking a few slight detours here and there, butopening these chestsis entirely optional.
Should You Give Duncan the Venamous Tentacula Leaf?
Eventually, players will come to a giant Venomous Tentacula and will be prompted to grab one of its leaves for Duncan. After doing so, they can either exit through the greenhouses, where they’ll be able to help themselves to some useful supplies, or justuse the Floo Flames network to fast travelstraight back to Duncan. Though players are free to choose whether or not to give Duncan the Venamous Tentacula Leaf,it doesn’t really matter what they decide to do, as they’ll receive 180 XP and the Venamous Tenacula Robe cosmetic item either way.
