Jam City teased as much onHogwarts Mystery’s social media, suggesting that players will “get a glimpse” of Harry Potter once the Beyond Hogwarts update drops on July 27. Fans always knewHogwarts Mystery’s story would catch up with theHarry Potterbooks, so it’s exciting to see that it’s finally happening.
When is the Beyond Hogwarts Update Coming to Hogwarts Mystery?
Jam City has pushed the Beyond Hogwarts update as the “largest game expansion” forHarry Potter: Hogwarts Mysteryto date. Jam City has over 25 new chapters for players to experience as part of Volume 1, which will give players the chance to explore over 15 new environments, complete over 14 new projects, interact with over 20 aged-upHogwarts Mysterycharactersthat they went to school with, and experience over 25 new repeatable social encounters.
WhenHogwarts Mysteryfirst started, many fans wondered what the game would do when it inevitably reached the end of Year 7, and now we have our answer. The Beyond Hogwarts update will let players take theirHogwarts Mysteryavatar and live in a neighborhood of their choosing. As revealed by Jam City, players will be able to decorate their apartment, and start a career in the Wizarding World and unravel a new mystery after they’ve been recruited byfamous Auror Mad-Eye Moody.
Overall, this newHogwarts Mysteryupdate sounds substantial enough that not only could it keep longtime fans engaged, but it may even bring back lapsed players who dropped it years ago. It seems rather ambitious and could be enough to get back some of the spotlight that was taken byHogwarts Legacy’s record-breaking launchearlier this year.
