Dragon’s Dogma 2will have players tackling the numerous story elements of both its main and side quests. One such side quest is “Steeled Resolve, Blazing Forge”, which the players will receive once they have successfullymade their way to the Battahl regionof the game’s map.
This quest will become available after completing “Dulled Steel, Cold Forge” — which players will receive from the NPC known asRomanback inVernworth Castle.
Check On Sara’s Progress
The quest will start with the player needing to “Check on Sara’s progress”, but they will not be able to head there straight away. Player’s will first need to manually progress the game world’s time by 2 days. You will be able to do this by eitherfinding a nearby bench or visiting one of the game’s Inns.
Once the two days have passed, make your way back toBrokkr’s Smithy— here you will find Sara. Expend all of her dialog options to get the next objective of the quest, “You learned of a special smithing technique.”
How To Find Sara In Dragon’s Dogma 2
Once you have spoken withSaraand learned this new smithing technique, you will once again need to pass time by 2 additional days before being able to begin the next part of the quest. After passing time, you will head back toBrokkr’s Smithyto speak with Brokkr himself. Expend all of his dialog options and you will need to go “Find Sara.” Before you set off, you might want toenhance some of your gear while you are at the smithy.
You will be able to find her at theMountain Base Cavein the Agamen Volcanic Island area of the game’s map. To get here, you will want to travel southwest fromBakbattahl. You will pass by Digger’s Ruins, followed by Canyon Cave on your left side. Keep following the road south and you will cross a bridge and arrive at the entrance to theDrabnir’s Grotto dungeon. Make your way through this dungeon and follow the road at its exit to get to theAgamen Volcanic Island. Keep following the road straight and you will arrive at the Mountain Base Cave. Another image has been provided below of its exact location.

If you are having any trouble making your way through this dungeon, there areother ways to reach the Agamen Volcanic Island. Speak with Sara inside to progress to the next objective of the quest, “Deliver Sara to the cave entrance.” Sara will have almost finished forging a warhammer, but will need to get to the anvil at the cave’s entrance to finish it before it cools down. The path between the cave entrance and Sara has several enemies, and if you take too long to get Sara to the anvil, the warhammer will cool down — and you will need to start over.
It is best to clear out all the enemies between the entrance and Sara first so that there is nothing that could potentially eat up your time and force you to repeat this objective.
Once you reach the entrance, some dialog will automatically commence and Sara will make her way over to the anvil. At this point, you will now have “Return to the smithy” as your current objective. Head back to Brokkr’s Smithy and expend all of the dialog between Sara andBrokkr. Afterward, you will receive theregalia sword, which you will need to take to Roman atVernworth Castle— there will be an indicator of his exact location on the map. Giving Roman the sword will complete the quest.
It is worth noting that Brokkr’s shop has a lot of amazing items for sale, and is the perfect place to spend some of the 35,000 gold you receive from completing this quest.
