While playing theCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2beta, a player captured a highlight involving a helicopter that looked straight out of theBattlefieldseries. While the next game to release in theCall of Dutyseriesis still a few weeks away, many gamers have had the chance to check out some of the game modes due to several beta tests.

During the second week of theModern Warfare 2beta, players could jump into theGround War game mode, which pitted two teams of 32 players against each other. In addition, players could take part in Invasion, a mode on the Ground War maps that featured two teams of 20 players and another 20 AI combatants. Unsurprisingly, many have been capturing some impressive highlights on these large-scale maps, and one player’s video is so crazy it could be confused with a clip from one of theBattlefieldgames, which are known for their chaotic action.

The clip being talked about was recorded by a Reddit user known as DankTerrace, and it took place during a game on what appeared to be Sariff Bay, one of the Ground War maps forModern Warfare 2. The action kicked off with the Reddit user leaping out of a helicopter and deploying their parachute. While it would be easy to assume that the player was planning to descend to the action on the ground, they had other ideas.

After jumping from their aircraft, DankTerrace spotted an enemy chopper in the distance and decided to start gliding in its direction. Once they reached the helicopter, they managed to land inside and eliminate the passenger. They then exited the enemy aircraft before the return to combat area countdown timer reached zero. The video finished in style as they landed on a rooftop and took out another unsuspecting enemy.

Since sharing the clip on Reddit, numerousmembers of theCall of Dutycommunitycommented that the highlight reminded them of theBattlefieldseries. “Battlefieldmoment in a cod game,” one user simply said. The highlight has already gained over 1.1K upvotes, and many have commented about the play-making potential of boarding helicopters inModern Warfare 2. In addition, one gamer pointed out that this feature was not even possible inBattlefield 2042, making this play even more impressive inModern Warfare 2. “I’m so happy they added this!” DankTerrace commented regarding the new mechanic.

Time will tell what the reception to Ground War and Invasion will be likewhenModern Warfare 2releases. Fortunately, the game is only about a month from launch, meaning that even more plays similar to the one pulled off by DankTerrace will likely be captured in matches on these large-scale maps in the coming months.
