Supernaturalalum andWalkerstar Jared Padalecki might not be fighting off ghouls and ghosts and demons anymore, but that doesn’t mean he can’t find himself in trouble every now and then. After having gotten into a spot of trouble in the form of a car accident, the formerSupernaturalactor updated fans about how he was on the mend.

Padalecki is in the middle of working on the next season ofThe CW’sWalker, which is the CW’s version of theold Chuck Norris showWalker: Texas Ranger. However, the actor’s work got a bit derailed recently when he was apparently in a car accident that left him injured enough that he had to miss a bit of work.

TheWalkeractor took to his own Twitter account to thank the fans for the outpouring of support once they found out about the incident. Alongside a photo of him smiling alongside his young daughter, he said he was hoping that he was going to be able to return to work soon. The actor added that he understood he knew that he was quite lucky to have the level of care that he did. It turns out that his former co-star Jensen Ackles was the one who let the general public know about the accident.

Ackles, who has moved onto aguest-starring role on Amazon Prime’sThe Boys, took to his own social media channels to let people know that Padalecki was a passenger in a car that was involved in the accident. He also spilled the beans that his on-screen brother for 15 seasons had been seriously hurt, though didn’t share a ton of details about just how he had been hurt. Then Padalecki made it clear that he was healing.

The announcement by Ackles that Padalecki had been injured was striking enough because there had been some rumors over the last few months that the pair were a bit estranged. Those rumors came about after it became news that Ackles hadtaken a role in the newSupernaturalSpinoff,The Winchesters. When news of Ackles joining the cast as Dean (who will be the narrator for the show featuring a young John and Mary Winchester) broke, Padalecki made it clear he was surprised about the show and hadn’t been offered a part.

In fact, theformerSupernaturalstarmade it clear he was “gutted” that he hadn’t been offered a part in the new show. It does appear that like his injuries following the accident, his relationship with Ackles is healing.

Walkerairs on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. on The CW.
