Cassandra Nova is the firstMarvel Snapcard to join the roster through a limited-time event. She is a three-cost On Reveal card with one power and the ability to steal one power from each card in the opponent’s deck. This guide aims to exploit her effect in a META-friendly deck, creating a lineup that’s possibly the best answer to the Arishem decks currently dominating the metagame.
The Best Deck for Cassandra Nova in Marvel Snap
Cassandra Nova is an excellent fit for a Darkhawk deck with some disruptive elements. To create such a lineup, unite the following cards: Cassandra Nova, Darkhawk, Korg, Rockslide, Ajax, Beast, Scorpion, Angela, Sang-Chi, Kitty Pryde, Luke Cage, and Black Widow.
In this setup, the disruptive trio—Korg, Rockslide, and Black Widow—add to Cassandra’s overall buff. Scorpion doubles down on her debuff, while Ajax benefits from her negative Power infliction to grow stronger.

How to Get Cassandra Nova
You can unlock Cassandra Nova for free through the Deadpool’s Diner event until August 5th. To obtain her, you will need to collect 15 million Bubs (the event’s currency). After that, Cassandra will join the Token Shop asa Series Five card, which you can purchase for 6,000 Tokens.
The Deadpool’s Diner event tracks your progress based on lifetime Bub earnings. Therefore, losing Bubs in matches won’t affect your progress toward unlocking more rewards.

How to Play Cassandra Nova
You want to drop Cassandra as early as possible to maximize her buff and inflict the most damage. A good strategy is to exploit Cassandra’s effect using disruption and bounce cards. Characters like Korg,Rockslide, and Black Widow boost her buff, while cards like Beast, Falcon, or Odin allow you to retrigger her effect multiple times.
Here are some notes to keep in mind while playing Cassandra Nova:

How to Counter Cassandra Nova
Cassandra is vulnerable to the metagame tech trio: Shadow King, Shang-Chi, and Cosmo. Among these, the worst counterplay for Cassandra is Shadow King, as he not only removes her buff but also restores the lost Power of the enemy’s cards.
If you’re a Cassandra player, ensure to have tech cards like Armor and Luke Cage in your deck so you can resist the counterattacks of Shadow King and Shang-Chi.

Is Cassandra Nova Worth It?
Cassandra Nova is definitely worth the grind. She is one of the best free cards inMarvel Snap’s recent history, enabling players to empower several META decks, such as Darkhawk’s setup. Cassandra’s ability to buff herself while debuffing enemy cards creates excellent synergies that can be employed in most archetypes with little to no drawbacks.
