Even though theMCUfans might wish for the opposite, not every single filmed scene makes it into the final picture. It’s impossible to include everything because the movies would not only be too long but also sometimes wouldn’t work as well as a whole.

In order to preserve the storytelling coherency and keep the pace swift, some scenes inevitably end up on the floor of the cutting room. Sometimes it’s for the best because the scene simply doesn’t work. However, other times it’s a pity since some truly cool scenes never made it into theMCUmovies. Luckily, some of them are available on YouTube and DVDs, so it’s possible to watch them at least in this way.
6Tony Stark Tries To Save Obadiah Stane
It’s quite easy to guess that Obadiah Stane will be the main villain inIron Man(2008). Once Tony Stark learns the truth, the two men end up fighting, and Stane eventually died. However, there’s a deleted scene in which Stark tries to save Stane. When the roof starts collapsing underneath Stane, Tony reaches for him and tries to pull him out of the armor Stane is wearing. It doesn’t work and Stane falls to his death anyway.
While a miraculous last-minute rescue wouldn’t work, the scene still speaks volumes about Tony’s heroic nature. Not everybody would bother to try and save the man who had previously almost killed them, yet Stark does it anyway.

5The Birthday Party
InIron Man 2(2010),Tony is convinced he’s dyingand he lives like there’ll be no tomorrow. Other than making Pepper Potts the CEO of Stark Industries, he also parties a lot, and overall, acts irresponsibly. A deleted scene sees him flirting with Natasha (who’s posing as Natalie Rushman at that time) at a birthday party. Tony shows off his Iron Man gauntlet to Natalie and she even fires from it.

While the scene has no impact on the plot, which is probably why it was deleted, it would have been nice to see even more of Scarlet Johansson’s Natasha/Natalie in the movie thanks to the performance Johansson gives as the spy. Since the audience didn’t get to see much of Natasha being a spy, any additional moment would be a welcome surprise.
4Steve Rogers Misses His Life
In a way, Captain America is one of the saddest heroes in the movies because he’s cut off from everything he once knew. A deleted sequence inAvengersshows Steve Rogers looking at the files of his friends and co-fighters. He learns that almost all of them are dead, which is a solemn moment for him.
The scene ends withRogers looking at Peggy Carter’s fileand considering whether to call her or not. In the action-filledThe Avengers(2012), this sequence feels surprisingly subtle and slow-paced, but leaving it in would have allowed the audience an even deeper glimpse into Steve Rogers’s mind and the pain he’s going through.

3Distracted Groot
Even though Groot is a man……a tree of few words, he’s behind some of the funniest scenes in the movies. A deleted scene shows Rocket and Groot discussing their plan of apprehending the outlaws on Xandar. More precisely, Rocket is explaining his plan to Groot but his best friend stops listening because he’s distracted by a bug of all things.

Based on the secondGuardians of the Galaxymovie, Groot often gets distracted, as the prison scene with Yondu and Rocket demonstrates. Seeing an adult Groot do a similar thing as his son would be hilarious but the movie cut the moment out anyway.
2A Taken Superhero Name
The firstAnt-Man(2015) is already a hilarious movie but could have been even funnier with a few additional cut scenes. One of the funniest moments happens when Scott Lang fights Sam Wilson. Falcon is skeptical when Scott introduces himself as Ant-Man.
In a deleted scene that enriches this moment, Scott goes on to explain to Falcon that Iron Man was already taken as a superhero name. It sounds just like Ant-Man to prove himself to be a superhero fanboy even when he’s about to fight one of them. The only strange thing is that Scott doesn’t want Captain America’s nickname considering he later joins Cap’s side in the Civil War.

1Missing Out On Meeting The Nephew
A small detail that would have made the MCU even richer happens inSpider-Man: Homecoming(2017). Once Spider-Man webs Aaron Davis to his car after interrogating him, Davis is unable to meet his nephew on time. In a deleted scene, Davis calls his nephew and apologizes that he won’t be able to make their meeting.
It’s a cleverreference to the comicswhere Miles Morales indeed has an uncle named Aaron Davis. Known as the Prowler, Davis is a villain and Miles ends up fighting him after he becomes the new Spider-Man.Seeing Miles Morales in the MCU has yet to happenbut the deleted scene suggests that Miles might indeed show up in the future.
